Very nice place to camp outdoors. The host was very nice as well. I felt bad for the host and family (cleanup) due to picnic goers trashing the female bathroom. How rude not to clean up after yourself and not make a mess for someone else to cleanup.

Midway Campground is very unique. Though there is only power at each site, no water or septic, it is clean and well kept. The location is very different from Flamingo. Flamingo is great for getting away from everything because you are very deep into the park, so the only facilities are those offered by the park. Midway, on the other hand, is set apart and feels isolated, but there are a variety of services nearby. The Mikosukee Indian tribe offers tours and cultural education, lots of airboat tours and the tram out to the observation tower are a short drive away.

Beautiful sites and very quiet campground. Loved seeing the mist rise on the pond in the mornings. Hosts really care about the campground. Great base for visit to Shark Valley and also for Big Cypress.

Midway is a very peaceful place to stay with very good amenities. The only thing lacking is cell phone reception. It doesn’t sound like a big thing but having no contact with family is very hard for me. I wish they would install a booster or something as there’s a cell tower not that far away.

A place to stop along the way. For the price, not worth it all. No showers and no water. Clean is all I can say.

Good place to stop when going to the Keys.

This campground is really in the middle of nowhere but it was nicely maintained. We camped in a 40' RV and it was easy to get in and get out. We made our reservations about a week before our trip and there were plenty of spots the day of our visit which was a Friday. All RV sites have 30/50 electric only hookup. The camp is about 30 minutes outside of Everglades City. It was a nice place to stop to break up a longer day of travels. Also cheap.

Nice getaway for adults, quiet night despite close proximity to the road. Site did not have functioning electric on the day we visited.

Stopped for a night traveling through. Electric is only utility but potable water available. Clean. Fine for minimal stop and close to some local attractions

Midway Campground is compact, well-maintained and designed efficiently. The staff (all volunteers) are polite and hard-working. The restroom spotless.

It is a great place to enjoy the night sky and to explore the Big Cypress Preserve. There is little to do for children, no local businesses, no swimming, boating... The beauty of the area is the draw.

Cell coverage is non-existent for Sprint/T-Mobile, poor for Verizon and AT&T.

Great location for exploring Big Cypress. Helpful staff onsite all the time. Clean restrooms. No showers. No trees between sites, not private.
