Quiet campground, the rangers were awesome and very informative, no showers which was not a problem at all, a lot of attractions near by, oasis visitor center, 24 mile loop was a must see, lots of great fishing, beware of the resident alligator

The Midway campground was midway between our activities. The host at the campground gave us recommendations. She told us to make a reservation to do the tram ride at Shark Valley. It was a two hour ride and it was informative and we saw many alligators and birds and went up in the observation deck. She told us to drive Loop Road and that was a two hour ride but very nice. Then, we went the opposite direction to explore Everglades City. We visited the SmallWood Store in Chokoloskee which is well worth the visit. And, we were able to use the Monument Campgrounds showers which is just 7 miles away.

The campground was very clean and the sites very accessible. We were greeted by the campground host, who was wonderful. She was very helpful in telling us about attractions and things-to-do nearby, as the campground really has nothing other than campsites to offer. We did a day trip to the Shark Valley Hiking Trail in the Everglades National Park, which was very worthwhile. Note that there are no showers at this campground.

This is a quiet campground. Has power to sites. No water or sewer at site. Water available near dump station. The most surprising is no bath houses.

A great little campground in the middle of the Everglades. Super clean, well kept. Very convenient to see the Everglades and Big Cypress. We will be back.

The location is perfect for exploring many Everglades offerings, from visitor centers to nearby airboat tours and boardwalks. VERY well maintained lawns and sites. Biggest bummer is the bathhouse is toilets only, no showers. Also, our site had a BBQ and the site over had a fire pit; we wouldve loved the fire pit instead! But we had a portable one we could use. VERY nice sites with paved pads and electricity. We were concerned about the central pond and mosquitoes. They hit hard and fast right at dusk, so be prepared (we love eating outside, and the mosquitoes feasted well, too - haha!). Definitely would use this campground again.

Love this place, but a lot of campers really need showers here. Even one would help.

Great place to camp. Astro was great that night and it was very clean and quiet. Easy to access as well.

A very well kept and peaceful campground. The campground hosts here were very friendly and helpful. Having electricity was invaluable. The Big Cypress National Park was also awesome to explore.

Nice campground with electric sites; water and dump station available. No showers at this campground. Good location for exploring Ten Thousand Islands, Big Cypress National Preserve and Everglades NP. We really enjoyed the loop road - saw lots of wildlife.

We really enjoyed this campground. It was quiet, clean and laid back. The bathrooms were clean and the hosts very friendly. We spent a whole day fishing on Loop Rd. and caught about 80 Oscars and Myan Ciclads. Then went back and had a fish fry dinner. Shark Valley was nice tour, The Clyde Butcher Gallery was another nice stop.

Only thing is no cell signal

Have stayed here the last 3 years while enroute to the FLA Keys. We stay in a 5'th wheel. CG has a building with toilets & sinks but no showers!! Lots to do and see in the area. Limited cell service in the area but they are putting fiber optic cable along 41 so it should improve. I had sufficient service to stream Youtube TV from my site with Firstnet. Diesel fuel is pricey so try to fill up prior if you can.

A delightful, relaxing camping experience. We had a small camper and a tent. There was plenty of room for both. It is a great base camp for activities around the area. Electric only and no showers. Clean bathrooms. Campground Hosts are very helpful.
