It was easy to book online. The campground was well kept and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay

Well maintained campground. Facilities include large sites, electricity, rest rooms with flush toilets, dump station and potable water. Midway CG centrally located within Big Cypress National Preserve.

Nice little campground. Staff was friendly and informative. Near several attractions.

Midway campground is a nice campground in the middle of Big Cypress. It has electric hookups only. There is water and a dump station available. No showers. It is fairly close to Shark Valley Everglades bike trail, which is why we camp there. It would be nice if they sold ice and firewood, as you are quite far from all stores, gas stations, etc.

Well maintained small campground, roomy level sites all with electric. Perfect spot for star gazing. Close to Shark Valley for bike riding. Only minor drawback is lack of showers.

Great little campground in the big cypress. Nice and secluded. Near many areas of interest. It was a good one. No water or sewer at the site but that was not a problem. They do have potable water to fill your tank.

My RV is a 40 ft Class A. The sites can accommodate my RV but the road is too narrow to allow backing into the sites without getting off into the grass. It wasn't a problem but could be if there has been a lot of rain.Its actually a nice little campground but cell reception is terrible.

Nice and quiet place even the street is next to the Campground. We stayed only one night. Next time we would go for a longer stay.

What an excellent campground! As good as any I've stayed in. Lots of space between campsites. Beautifully maintained with clean bathrooms. If you want a shady site, book sites 14-26. (26 is large with no one beside it). If you want sunny then book 1-13. While there is no sewer at each site, it is easy to drive over to the dump station in the campground. The rangers and volunteers were very friendly and helpful.The location of this campground is perfect. Easy trip across to Everglades City to the west or Shark Valley tram tour and the Everglades to the East. You have to stop at Joannies to eat after you do the Wet Walk in the Swamp with the rangers!

Spaciioius and scenic site with 30 amp service and easily accessible fresh water station and dump station. On US 41 (Tamiami Trai) mid way between the Flamingo and Gulf Visitor Centers of Everglades National Park. Nestled in Big Cypress National Preserve

Clean, level sites with electric. Potable water, trash and dump available.

Nice size sites. Quiet. Clean bathroom. Wish it had a shower.

Love this little campground. Nice and quiet this time of year. Mosquitos were out and about, but nothing a little bug spray didn't cure, and hey it's the Everglades. Have stayed here many times, and will stay again.

No camphosts or rangers. People sleeping in their vehicles. Sad how this beautiful park has been neglected.

I stayed at Midway in late May. There were only a few other campers and it was very quiet. I saw an alligator in the small lake, a woodpecker, and several other birds. It was warm but I was not bothered by mosquitos. I would definitely visit again, perhaps when it is cooler.

We love this Campground! The sites are good sized. The park is super clean. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this park to family and friends!

I love this park. It is small and I can do fishing right there outside my door. The bathrooms are clean and the park keepers are on the ball. I will be back!

The campground was very neat and clean. Really attractive with the sites positioned around the pond. Bear-proof food lockers available near the tent sites. The staff was really helpful. The Oasis Visitor Center up the street is a great stop.

Midway is a nice quiet,well maintained piece of tranquility after the keys.
@DavidM494 · Camped on Jan 3, 2021 at Campsite #26
Expected decent cell service for at least text, and had nearly nothing. Facilities were in nice shape and appreciated that staff followed CDC Guidelines for COVID-19. Felt a little cramped, but neighbors were friendly!
@RichardD565 · Camped on Dec 29, 2020 at Campsite #26
The Staff are very nice, helpful and friendly. We had site 26 which was closer to the main road but still basically peaceful. It faced the pond. The site are electric only. There is potable water and a dump station available. There is NO mobile service available unless you have a pointing antenna.
@SiddharthB517 · Camped on Dec 28, 2020 at Campsite #26
Camp at Mile Marker 52, basic campground but great experience. This place was great to spend a night. The further you are into the campground, less road noise. The host was very friendly and helpful. Make sure to book in advance for a spot. It has electric hookup only but it does provide access to potable water as well dump station. The site has fire pit, picnic table and good sized spaced out sites as well as common area has picnic table and fire pit. There are no on-site showers but the bathrooms are provided and they were clean with no issues. Bring bug spray if you intend to sit outside at night.
