This campsite is clean and well maintained. The spots are a little tight for larger rigs however, there were Prevost and other large units in the campsites. I would highly recommend Midway.

We usually stop at Midway once a year on our way south. Well kept campground. Paved interior roads. 50 amp power at site. No water or sewer, but there is a dump station. Clyde Butcher's Gallery is close by as is the Oasis visitor center. Loop Road is worth a drive . Bugs are tolerable during winter months. In warmer months, they will carry you away !

Peaceful place along the TAMIAMI TRAIL. Longer rigs will struggle to stay off the grass while backing into a spot.Grass wasn't mowed. I'd certainly stay here again.

Nice stop in the Everglades with plenty of space at sites. Bugs get very bad at night so be prepared.

Very good stay, but hard to get a campsite. Need to build more campsites.

We have stayed a few times, was not as clean as usual and seemed a little less organized.

Open mowed/groomed circle around a pond surrounded by woods and brush on the outside. Longer walk to the bathrooms from some areas however they were clean. Did not see any alligators but warnings were posted not to walk dogs and dog walking forbidden at campground. Dogs allowed at your campsite. I had my little 14# dog with me in the campsite and walked about fifteen feet from her twice, both times we heard heavy brush snap in the woods behind the site so I had her hang out with me in the car.

Stopped overnight on the way to the Keys in late October. Late arrival was not a problem. The park was virtually empty. The Lots are deep. If its been raining, be careful backing in because the grass is mucky. Bring bug spray. Overall, a good place to overnight.

Great spot, camp hosts and maintenance crew keep this campground spotless. It is small so not much to actually do at the CG but great access to the Everglades and Big Cypress Preserve for wildlife watching. Alligators are a little up close and personal at the CG, so watch your pets and yourself.

Two complaints: 1) The campground host roaring through our campsite in his golf cart, literally two feet away from our camper, because he wanted to retrieve a name tag on our electrical box. Unnecessary invasion of our space because he wanted to jump the gun, rather than wait until check out. Further, he did left mud and muddy tracks all through our site...all because he didn't want to wait until check out time and was too lazy to walk (in a very small campground. 2) No toilet paper in the men's room. Totally unacceptable in such a tiny campground. I mean, how much does the host really have to do. Having toilet paper, and extra toilet paper, is a pretty low bar to ask to maintain. All in all, this campground is a big fail because of the inept and discourteous host. A shame, because it's a beautiful "get away from it all" campground. I hope the show the host the door. He deserves it !

We stayed only one night as we were traveling to our main destination, but this was a beautiful and well maintained campsite. We stayed at site #13, which was the last site before the road makes a turn around the pond. This gave us plenty of room for the kids to play while being able to keep them in sight. The biggest draw for us was the night sky though. Being a good ways out from town, you could see an abudance of stars.

Hookups only include electric, but there is a dump station near the exit of the campground, as well as a bathroom. There is a dumpster on site near the entrance, and there was a campsite administrator staying in a camper in the first site. He was very friendly and helpful with check-in. Sites were paved and ours required no leveling from side to side. Our 30' bumper pull had plenty of room on the pad, and we had enough room to pull our truck in at an angle to not be in the roadway.

Overall a great stay, even just for a night. The next time we come through this area, we'll be sure to stop for a longer period.

The price is awesome at only $30. No water hook-ups, but electric was all we really needed. GREAT place to stop if you're rolling in late and just need to spend a night or two in the area while you're visiting the National Everglades Park (which is super close... and the Eco Tram Ride is really awesome). No showers, but if you have the water in your RV to shower, that's not a big issue (again, only $30). I'd give it 5 stars, but I never went into the bathrooms (so I don't know what they were like). Didn't use the dump station (was there one?), but appreciated the dumpster for a getting rid of some trash. BEST aspect of the park really is the STARGAZING. If it's a clear sky, you'll be blown away by the stars. Yes, mosquitos... but that's just Florida. There was a firepit and picnic table at our site. We would use the campground again for sure.
