Over all is good. Only suggestion is to add electricity to tent camping area.

The nearly identical and too closely spaced sites are paved, with all sites having electric, a big plus. The lack of cell coverage here is the biggest outage, and would have made for a much better experience

We enjoy this camp site! The best part is the friendliness of the camp hosts.

We couldn't get into the site we reserved and paid for sowe went into another one as it was late at night when we got there. We couldn't stay the other nights we reserved as it started flooding and Hurricane Ian was approaching we had to get out. All in all it was pretty miserable although not due to the park but how hard it was to get into site and mother nature.

This campground looks like it was intended to be a rest area & then someone decided they could charge for overnight parking. The sites are really close together, which isn't bad considering its the only electric campground in the Preserve. About half of the sites & all of the tent-only sites are unshaded. It's also a day use area, so expect random people to be walking around. There is no bathhouse here. We showered at Monument Lake (which were really nice). There are bathrooms, but they need better regular cleaning, especially with the bugs. The underside of the toilets don't look like they've been wiped off in months & are covered in little flies. The camphost couple seem nice, but they're too elderly to maintain the property. If they can't walk their dog (they were riding in the golf cart while the poor little dog ran next to them), then they probably can't bend down to clean the toilets. There were 3 or 4 hosts sites, but they were the only hosts. The campground could be massively improved by better cleaning & adding some shower stalls (even outdoor shower stalls).

We stayed 3 nights at Monument Lake which was beautiful but not hook ups. Moved to Midway and had 50 amp power! Dump station and potable water available as well! Would love to have stayed longer! Beautiful and clean!

Midway is a heaven for bugs, I use it for a stop over on my way to the Keys. The spots are good sized and in the summer you will probably one of the only human campers to brave it. Bring your bug spray and just plan on hanging in A/C and you'll be fine. The park service does keep it very clean and mowed.

No fire ring at our campsite (#9) although website seems to imply that they are in all campsites.

Campsites are too close together

Don't understand day use gazebos inside the campground

The campground was very clean, neat, and well laid out. It was easy to get to the dump station and water fill station. The camp host was very friendly and informative. The camp location was excellent for exploring the Everglades and Big Cypress National Preserve.

Great little campground! Very clean. Excellent for an overnight stop. The strangers were very friendly and knowledgeable. Be aware there are no showers, and only one central RV potable water spigot. Great place for star gazing!
