We have camped here 3 times. Very clean. No showers or dishwashing so prepare for that. It is centrally located to many activities. The stars are great at night. Very few bugs during the spring; no mosquitoes during the dry season.

Immaculate grounds. Sites are level concrete with a picnic table. Electricity pedestal was in good shape (50A service). Potable water and sanitary dump station very conveniently located near the entrance. Centrally located dumpster for trash disposal. No cell service or OTA TV, but that's what we came for. Excellent Starlink service provided connectivity for communications and Internet. Remote site that offers up outstanding dark sky night astrophotography. At a minimum, you need to drive The Loop Road for seeing some of the abundant Everglades animal life. The history of the area is also very interesting. We were just passing through and stopped for 2 nights, but will make this a destination stop in the future!

Always friendly host and a clean campground. It's a good place to explore some of the Everglades trails, although you need a vehicle to get to many of them.

Horrible zero maintenance, dirty bathrooms and to top it off they closed them.super run down and disgusting bathrooms.It is a beautiful place with a lot of nature. I hope you give it love and maintenance.I have never had any complaints from other campgrounds I have visited

Lovely small campground, clean bathrooms, perfect for an overnight or to explore Big Cypress Preserve.

This was our frist visit. A couple of times wanted to talk to camp host and ask questions they seem to be busy talking to repeat customers and couldn't be bothered. However Troy who did maintenance was always friendly and answered our questions.

Great place. We'll looked after. Clean, quiet, very helpful park staff.

For the Big Cypress Preserve, this is the best federal campground to stay in. It offers 50amp hookup. Dump station and water available in the campground. Grounds are well maintained with a paved loop around the pond. We will stay here again. It's our first choice among federal parks in the Preserve.

Small, quiet, clean, and very convenient while visiting the Everglades!
@ruthw182 · Camped on Jan 4, 2022 at Campsite #2
Close to visitor center where we saw alligators, turtle, and many birds, egret, roseatte spoonbill, etc.
Only problem was long wait at dump station because water fill was very slow.
@JackB173 · Camped on Nov 15, 2021 at Campsite #2

It was a nice, quiet campground but the site I had reserved was not marked in any way. It was a good thing I had my reservation paperwork. There was no ranger or camp host. I do wish there was a shower facility but at least there were flush toilets

Pretty setting, clean.
@TerryB667 · Camped on Mar 4, 2021 at Campsite #2
Hosts are great! If you like a more spread out campground with few amenities, this is a great place. Enjoyed seeing alligators and cottonmouth snakes. Lots of wildlife and plant diversity here.
@SteveM230 · Camped on Jan 26, 2021 at Campsite #2
No complaints.
@RonaldP300 · Camped on Dec 29, 2020 at Campsite #2
