Had the usual difficulty making online reservations (the system sees a field not filled that is filled...very frustrating) but campground was fine and the few staff I encountered were welcoming and helpful.

Of the many trips that I have taken to Big Bend National Park this is the first time staying at the Rio Grande Village campground. It was much better than I anticipated and I plan on returning to the same place again. The park hosts were very pleasant, the grounds were well kept and the bathrooms were nice. Overall a very nice experience.

Great sites, clean bathrooms, well laid out campground nearest the hike to the hot springs trail. We enjoyed it very much and wish we could have stayed longer. We look forward to camping there again some day.

Sadly, a group of Boy Scouts was also camped in the Village. while they were quiet at night, they were yelling and screaming by 7:30 AM. this should not be tolerated.

The campground was clean and quiet. We saw some javalinas during the day and coyotes at night.

The campground was very nice. Water was readily available and bathroom facilities were close. The only drawback was that there were no showers in the campground.

It is a lovely place to stay and easy to cross over into the little Mexican town of Boquillas del Carmen as well. But in April it was extremely hot, temperatures in the 100s dailyotherwise quite amazing. The nature trail to a bluff overlooking the Rio Grande was spectacular at sunset.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Charged car in campground. Used showers, which were clean. Would definitely stay again

Very nice campground. Was going to go to Cottonwood, but at least 1/3 of their sites were flooded. Will stick with Rio or Chisnos for future stays...

I reserved spot 96 - it appeared to be a sufficiently large spot on the reservation site. However, upon arrival, the trees were so overgrown and reaching into the parking area, the truck camper would not fit, either without damaging the truck or the trees. A neighbor suggested to talk to the campground host, which I did. The campground host did a great job and relocated me for three nights to a different location - well done, and thank you :-)
