Nice oasis with perfect amenities. Host was helpful as well as the rangers who madesure my tent didn't blow away during a freak storm while I was out hiking.

Absolutely loved the animals and large, clean sites. Our camp host was amazing and so friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Ive done lots of camping in Texas state parks and in every campground the staff are always miserable and on a mission to catch you doing something wrong. She made this such a different experience and I am so grateful!

No Cell serivce of course, but we were aware of that. Camp ground is beautifully maintained, easily navigable, and in a great location. PLENTIFUL wildlife, including the wild horses, cows, javelinas and mules walking around between campsites. Friendly staff and clean restrooms. Camp store was nice as well, with anything you forgot, as well as showers and laundry.

The park is beautiful but the facilities are rough almost like nothing got updated since 60-s. Be prepared for no phone reception and lack of food facilities.

The campsight was clean, and quiet. There were several bathrooms in walking distance. The showers at the store require quarters that you can get at the store. We had javalinas and cows walking around. Overall a great place, we hope to come back!

This campground is a great location for many reasons. You can walk to the Rio Grande and watch all the fabulous wildlife. You can watch sunrises and sunsets from the beautiful little hill along the nature trail and boardwalk and you can get to the store, which is only about a minute drive away. It is quiet and well kept, clean and friendly. We were in tents so I would advise, trying to find a spot with some shade.Definitely make the trip to the little Mexican bordertown of Boquillas and have a cold beer, some great tacos and meet some wonderful people.I would definitely return and stay at this campground. There seems to be no Wi-Fi in the campground, which I think is kind of nice, but theres Wi-Fi at the store.

Sam the camp host is awesome, very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area and opportunities there. He works non stop and keeps things clean and orderly. I will definitely stay here again.

This campground is wild. Slept in a tent surrounded by heavy breathing cows feet away from us, heard coyotes every night, watched bats diving for bugs, saw a pack of javelinas (look kinda like warthogs) wander through, saw multiple roadrunners, and witnessed the most dazzling stars Ive ever seen. That was all in two nights. It was an experience my kids and I will never forget. Highly recommended.

Loved this location and the facilities were well maintained. Had great animal encounters right next to my tent.

Some Coverage

The Village campground site we were in was more spacious than expected. We stayed in a camper van, and drove the park sightseeing/hiking each day, then back to our campsite for the night. Restrooms were clean, drinking water water was readily available throughout the Park. Would recommend.

Spaces are too close together. Youd think that Big Bend would have a campground with a bit more space between sites. Also, our site was on gravel but not level.

Fantastic campground and park! Be sure to pack warm clothes and bedding - even the desert gets cold at night in December.
