The campground is much nicer than we expected with a great trail close by. It was 107 degrees when we were there and wished there were electrical sites because our truck camper was almost unbearable at night. The manager of the store nearby was very helpful and since wed been traveling for awhile it was wonderful to have laundry facilities there. So much wildlife in the campground! Javelinas, roadrunners and even a bull that must have sneaked across the river. I just recommend not going in late spring, too hot!

Beautiful campground. Dark skies. In January, cool at night, warm during day.

The campsites were close together but adequate. Roaming cattle from Mexico and wild javelinas are a little disturbing and the cattle leave large poop piles in the grass around the campsites. The hosts were very friendly and make a point of meeting all new campers which was great.

Great location and well maintained with friendly camp hosts. Clean pay showers (and laundry) in the store approx one-half mile away.

Fantastic campground, level sites, plenty of room between sites, and incredibly friendly and helpful camp hosts. Love the proximity to a camp store (with great propane and gas prices!!!). Didn't love the showers over at the camp store, but the bathrooms at this campground were sparkling clean. Huge, huge kudos to an amazing team of camp host volunteers. Saw javelina from our site several times. Just loved it.

An incredibly beautiful place with access to the river. We laid in the water as the morning got hotter. The site was nice with easy access to drinking water. An epic trip.

Stayed in site #80, site was nearly level (required boards on one side), spacious and quiet. It was convenient to the Rio Grande and hiking in that area. Bathrooms were clean. Also drove to Chisos mountain area which is beautiful. Overall, a great stay here.

This would be five stars but one generator runs the whole experience for the whole campground get rid of the generators they're not necessary the guy was just watching television for 3 hours
@CalebSF892902E · Camped on Jan 1, 2020 at Campsite #80
The campsites are a too close together. The generator and no generator areas are right next to each other so you might as well make it all one or the other. The showers were unusable and filthy even for camping standards. If you have a motor home this place is ok but if tent camping use this as a staging area only and move back country as quickly as possible.
