Our campsite was quite close the sites next to us. But we loved the location and the hike from the campground.

This is the nicest campground in the park, with the most shaded campsites. It was very clean with recycling available and helpful hosts.

Great Large Campground. Secure all Food/Trash due to coyotes

We went into Big Bend not knowing anything about the park. After our time there, Big Bend is now our favorite park. The campgrounds are pretty deep into the park and are right on the Rio Grande. The sites aren't very private or secluded, but they are a great spot to post up and travel around the park from!

We enjoyed our stay at Rio Grande Village. They were irrigating the trees though so we were not able to set up our tent on the grass, only on the gravel. Other than that, it was a lovely area.

Campground was clean and big! There was so much space, and just about our whole camp was shaded throughout the day. The bathrooms are very close, showers are short drive away (be sure to bring enough quarters for showers as the store closes, at which point you have no access to quarters unless folks have extra). First time to Big Bend, and this campground made things so easy and convenient!

Be sure to go to all regions of the park as they are magically different. The showers are better than nothing but dont get excited about them! Hot springs and the river are much more rewarding!

Great campground, nice hosts, fun nature trail walk. We saw coyotes and javelinas right in the campground. Nice facilities, and nice grass to camp on!

This was my third time camping at this site and I was unaware that periodically the campground is voluntarily flooded as a means of irrigating the trees. When we arrived the campsite was entirely underwater except for the parking pad - which is where my son and I had to pitch our tents. The intentional flooding ended the day after we arrived but the campsite was a mud bowl the entire length of our stay (four days). Had we not been hiking and instead wanted to enjoy the campsite the visit would have been a complete waste as there was no campsite, just the parking pad.

Really enjoyed our time staying at the Rio Grande Village campground. Wonderful hikes and appreciated all the picnic areas throughout the park. Rangers were all very helpful and friendly.

Always a nice campground to stay at. Weather was a bit brutal the first night - 51mph winds and 30 degrees. Days were gorgeous. Beautiful National Park and a very nice campground.

The campground is mostly full of low hanging branches and I could barely get my motorhome in my space without damages due to the trees. The online description should say if each site is clear of trees or how shady. The trees blocked my solar panels which was very important since there is no electric hookup. If my solar is blocked and generators are not allowed then how am I supposed to charge my batteries?????? The description said my space was 50 feet which it was but due to low hanging branches, only 35 feet were useable.
