We had a fantastic stay at Rio Grande Village Campground in Big Bend National Park! Our campsite was surrounded by short bushes, giving it a peaceful and secluded feel. There was plenty of space to pitch our four-person tent, and the provided food storage box was a great addition for keeping our food safe while we were away. The campground was well-maintained, with clean bathrooms just a short walk from our site. The entire area felt quiet and respectful, making for a relaxing stay. We especially enjoyed walking our dogs at night, as the campground was tidy and had a calm atmosphere.Overall, we had a great experience and would love to camp here again!

Nice campground. Stayed in 2 different spaces. The one in the ‘no generator’ area was great; however, in the other there was noise from one a**hole who ran not one, but 2 very loud generators for many hrs each day. Thankfully they aren’t allowed after 8pm. Great hike in Boquillas canyon. Go to the hot springs -either hike or drive.

The campground was just what we needed. Saw several coyotes, which was cool! I highly recommend staying in this part of the park if you never have before. It's beautiful and unique. Great views of the Rio Grande, and lots of cultural sites to visit. Make sure to hit the hot springs! If you're looking for a hike, the Marufo Vega Trail is exquisite, challenging, and easy to make into a short backpacking trip. Have fun!

Liked that there were seminars at the amphitheater but was unable to enjoy because busy enjoying the park. Slots well maintained and clean. You could tell a tent had been used at this location but would recommend use of at least air mattress as lots of stones. Facilities easy walk both ways. Had nocturnal visitors but they kept their distance, we had no food out unless we were actually eating. Provided grills could use more circulation so not as much charcoal needed to cook with. Quiet at night for peaceful sleep.
Boquillas canyon was awesome. Catch the sunset on the rio grande nature trail. Listen to the rangers and prepare well. Love big bend and respect the heat

Stayed at Rio Grande village. No on site weather was available so we were expecting day time highs in the 90’s. Those reports were from several miles away and 1000 feet higher. Temps at The Village were 107. Staff at the store were not friendly.

This was a great spot. Wifi at the camp store but zero service in the park. My site was listed as tent only but my 20' sprinter fit in the driveway so no issues with camping. There's a lovely little hike out of the campground that has a perfect spot to setup and watch the sunset, also has river access. Lots of privacy in my spot.
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
