Campsite was amazing and super close to the restrooms. The restrooms in the campground were super clean but can't say the same about the ones at the Rio Grande Village store. Overall, amazing.

Great camp site to stay at - beautiful sunset lookout point nearby the campground.

Super friendly and helpful hosts. We stayed there for two nights and on 2nd night when a better site became available, the hosts offered to us to move to that site. Truly appreciate it. The area and the bathrooms were very clean. The sink for washing the dishes was also available and clean. The store and shower was very handy and affordable. Interesting enough, the diesel fuel was cheaper than both nearest town outside of the park.

Had an excellent time solo camping here in January, felt very safe and got to see tons of wildlife. I was grateful for not having to go very far from my camp during this trip, as there is a lovely nature trail within the walking trail of the village. This location is also close to the hot springs, I heard its a 3mi hike but also only a few minutes drive if youre like me. Very friendly staff throughout the park.

The Rio Grande campground bathrooms were clean. The hosts were friendly and came to warn us about coyotes in the area. We went during the dark sky and were not disappointed with all the stars we could see. The hikes were fun and led to great views. We ate at the restaurant twice. Good food, although a little expensive. The stores had anything we ran out of. The rangers were very informative. A great experience and looking forward to returning someday.

Rio Grande Village and Big Bend were absolutely beautiful. Our campsite was perfect for our campervan and gave us some privacy from adjacent sites. (Campsite would not work if you had a side awning however). We stayed 4 nights and the nearest restrooms were not cleaned during our entire stay!We also stayed at Chisos Basin and Cottonwood Campgrounds on this trip and those restrooms were cleaned everyday. Infrastructure and nearby showers could use some updating. The park is amazing and beautiful.

This campsite is very loud and very crowded. They have maxed out the number of sites this land can hold, so every square inch is full of people. Even though there are sections where there are “no generators“ the areas adjacent do allow generators and those generators cause ample noise to disrupt basically the entire location. People tend to run their generators during times when you would want quiet, for example sunset. The majority of your time at this campsite will include the sound of generators. In addition, this location gets extremely crowded so there is much noise from vehicles and people, for example the loud hand dryers in the bathroom. I would not recommend the showers. They are not located within the camping area, they are located a half mile away, adjacent to the store. Showers have a fee for a fixed, short amount of time. Overall, if you are looking for serene peaceful outdoor experiences, this is not the location for you. If you have an RV and want quick access to an easy hiking trail, this location is for you.

The campground was great. There were no lights in the dish wash area by the restroom which made cleanup challenging after dark. The ranger talk was very enjoyable.

PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE NO-SHOWS. EASILY 25% OF THE SITES WERE TAGGED WITH NO ONE IN THEM!! SOME WERE FOR SEVERAL DAYS.

AND YES, I AM SHOUTING!!!!

Despite COVID, the hiking experience was great. Went to both Rio Grande Village and the Basin. Road closures for maintenance were a bit of a hassle but no.complaints.
