Very large site for every camper. Quiet, interesting trips around, in a beautiful nature.

We stayed for 4 nights at Rio Grande Village in early April. We booked a bit late so we had to move twice, but that was OK; we have a motorhome and it is easy to switch sites. The good news is that we were able to experience both generator and non-generator site areas in the campground that had no hookups. The sites are very roomy and many have quite a bit of shade from trees and/or covers. We had 3 lovely sites, each with unique advantages. The hosts were particularly attentive and did a good job of keeping generator usage within the time limits as well as making sure everyone was following other rules. Other than some temperature and wind extremes we could have done without, we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the park.

Rio Grande Nature Trail is beautiful at sunset. Very close to Boquillas Canyon and Hot Springs.

Beautiful location and well managed as far as we could tell. The staff in the store could be a little more friendly but whatever. Showers in store cost a couple of dollars for 5 minutes - 4 of the five minutes the water is cold. I know its a remote area and having showers is a not an easy offer, but heating water should not be a big problem in this day and age. Overall we love Big Bend and we are grateful for Rio Grand Village. NPS should try to manage this location vs contracting it out (just a suggestion).

Nice mellow campground. It is nice that internet is available at the store/laundry building.

All the sites were great and we were glad we visited them….but there was a lot of distance between sites. Other than that it was well worth the visit to Big Bend.

Make sure you get water at the dump station before setting up your RV because the water fill up stations around the park are not easy to find. You are pretty much on your own to find your camping site so have an idea of where it is before you start driving around looking for it. The location is beautiful and well maintained and much better than the parking lot that has full hookups. Plan on staying at least a week if you really want to see everything, two days were not enough!

AWESOME. Crossing the Rio Bravo into Boquillas is a very enriching experience. The community is safe and the people are delightful. Bring your passport or passport card.

The rv park was clean and fairly quiet. The store was fairly inexpensive and the showers were great. We really liked the nature path.

Enjoyed our hikes to Rio Grande on trail and the nature trail as well. Good campground in our 24ft RV.

This place is a bit far away from all the nice hiking places in big bend and Santa Elena that I love. Otherwise, it was good.
