Great place for camping, super clean bathrooms, each spot has a food locker, enough separation from other campers. My only regret is not packing a canopy for shade but thats on me. amazing experience.

Wonderful spot. Brought in my own water (7 gallons). Site felt secluded although the sites were close. Bathroom was walking distance.

We had a great stay for the week between Christmas and New Years! Facilities were clean and well maintained. We had one night of crazy wind and the campground manager was great about getting around to each site and letting everyone know to be prepared. We would highly recommend staying here!

We loved tent camping at rio grande village. We saw lots of donkeys, horses, cows and javelinas. Theres a great 360 view and a walk to the rio grande from the campground on a nature trail. Personally I like showering while camping so I was very happy that the showers are close by at the camp store. You do need $2 in quarters for each shower and they sometimes take awhile to get hot.

Incredible! I thought I knew what we were getting into and I was blown away. The park rangers were so awesome and helpful. I cant wait to go back. Boquilla Canyon trail was so serene and the hike was easy. We ended our trip with a visit to the hot springs it was a perfect way to wrap up our stay.

Appreciated that the host families/park rangers are always present in the campground. They post current conditions on the board next to the restroom. They have recycling trashcan bins and areas to wash dishes near the restrooms. If you have a 4X4 vehicle Ernst Tinaja Trail is amazing. Make sure you go to some ranger led talks too.

Great Visit! First night stargazing with 8 telescope I brought. Last night set up scope in Rio Grande village campground and 20-25 neighbor campers dropped by for a look. Great fun sharing! Saw Orion Nebula, Jupiter, Andromeda Galaxy and much more. Quick trip to Boquillas Mexico was fun. Various hikes and 4 wheel unpaved roads were a treat!

As tent campers, we were impressed with the sites in the "No Generator" zone. Many of them were fairly secluded, spaced relatively far apart and retained much of the existing vegetation. The campground host was friendly and helpful and cautioned us on careful use of the Bear Boxes to avoid attracting Javelinas and other wildlife. We enjoyed the Nature trail and other hikes and it was really nice to have showers at the camp store, although they aren't very well maintained with roughly half out of service.

really liked our campsite, nestled in amongst the trees so we had privacy [note not all campsites like this]. Liked the generator free zone. Place was clean, bathrooms were clean, appreciated the recycling bins.

Nice camping host. They tell you the place history. They was wonderful. There is Javelinas, cows, northern cardinal bird…on the campground. Great section with no Generator quiet at night.
Really enjoyed the location because of the proximity to a beautiful view and to a village store. The campsite we had felt private with the brush surrounding and pretty spacious - enough room for two tents. The bathroom was relatively clean. Camp rangers were very helpful giving us a jump start when we had trouble with the car battery. We would definitely recommend staying at this camp site and will come back another time!
