Excellent park with many options when it comes to outdoor activities. Especially enjoined the Stargazing event lead by park rangers, stargazing from the hot springs after dark, hiking the Lost Mine Trail and Window View sunset. Visiting Boquillas was also a nice diversion across the border. Enjoyed the free ranging wildlife (javelina, coyote, roadrunners, foxes) and domestic animals (donkeys, horses, and cattle in small numbers) walking about the Rio Grande Village Campground.

We spent one night at the Rio Grande Village campground, the hosts were very helpful with information for exploring Big Bend National Park. We hike a couple trails in the area, one the natural trail had great views and took you to the Rio Grande River.

Beautiful campground with a really nice nature walk. We saw lots of Javalina and donkeys. This is a very lovely and peaceful campground.

My camp spot was quiet and easy to stake tent poles into. My advice is to get going on any trail at first light when still cool. Trails are always a discovery.

Site 30 was great. No generator loop, so very quiet. View of the Sierra de Carmen mountains in Mexico from the back. Sides had scrubby bushes with no visibility to neighbors on either side. Daily roadrunner visits were a treat. The arc for pull in a little challenging if you had a big rig but the overhanging branches they mention not there any longer. It is uneven side to side so leveling a little challenging. Very close to bathroom and water. Park is unbelievable. The resident bobcats we caught sight of were a special trea

The ground of our camping site needs to be leveled. Other than that everything was fine.

A wonder filled place. we enjoyed camping, hiking, adventuring to Mexico and scenic drives! Plan a few more days then what you think you will need, a minimum of 5 days more if you are able. We plan on going back!

Our site was lovely. It was partially shaded and felt fairly private with trees all around and a view of the canyon walls. It was a short walk to the Rio Grande nature trial head and restrooms. We heard coyotes and a donkey in the morning. Loved it!

Loved my campsite. The staff was so helpful with refunding the extra days when I left early.
