Good campsite. Secluded from the big open field part of the campsite. Good access to the Nature Trail. Showers were backed up and a mess when we were there.

It was large and clean. It had a picnic table and surrounding trees for privacy. Close to bath house as well as an awesome nature trail which is a must do for sunset. Only difficult part was it was super rocky and made it difficult for sleeping without an air mattress or thick sleeping pad.

The campground itself was good and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The site itself was overgrown with sticker bushes and trees and dead tree branches that overhung the drive and made it difficult to get around the car when unloading gear. When the campground host came by we commented on the issue and was told they couldnt trim unless okayed by some higher up in an office somewhere. Not only is this inconvenient for the camper but also a fire hazard with all the dead brush around.

The campsite is clean and during this time of year extremely quiet. It was beautiful and the people were kind. Overall it was an excellent experience

Our site (26) had plenty of room with a large gravel pad and an easy little pull-in spot for our Xterra and a nice picnic table. It was secluded on 3 sides by thick lotebush and other vegetation and was near enough to the water and bathrooms that it was convenient. Also conveniently located near the nature tail.

The camping ground is quite nice (and the host was very helpful). The site itself could benefit from a bit more shade, but overall no complains. The village store was, however, a bit shady. Double check your receipts, otherwise you might end up paying for something that was never there.

Hot springs are near by and a must see! Great campsite with clean restrooms. We spotted some coyotes around the camp at night but they kept to themselves.

Campsite was pretty mellow and we had no issues with camping in our van or locking our bikes up outside. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Toilets were clean and had good soap. Both of the sites we stayed at had good shade. About a mile from the hiking trail to the hot springs

We love the Rio Grande Village because it has so much biodiversity. As the name suggests, it's nestled along the river, the village comes up against a marshy area that is perfect for all sorts of wildlife sights - from bullfrogs to beavers, fish, snakes, birds, and even javelina. If you climb up the short nature trail you'll likely find giant desert millipede and the best sunset in the whole park in my opinion! In one direction you can see the sun dip down over the Chisos, in the other the reflection of the light bounces across the Sierra Del Carmen mountains in Mexico. We've had fun watching horses and donkeys as well that come down to the river front from Boquillas. During non-covid times this village is a short trip to the port of entry to visit Boquillas for some lunch, sotol shots, local shops, and a donkey ride if you feel so inclined! Even when the port is closed, this village is still worth the stay.

This was a very cool camping experience. We had a secluded campsite that was frequented by animals throughout the night - we found javelina droppings right by our tent one of the mornings and coyote or fox droppings (according to a ranger) by our car. We also heard animals breathing heavily by our tent during the night. The campsite was pretty rocky/pebbly so we set out yoga mats under our sleeping bags, which helped a lot. The bathrooms were clean.

One note - this campground is pretty far from Chisos basin and santa Elena canyon, and there was less to do in the rio grande village area during the pandemic (the nearby hot springs and crossing to Mexico were closed). Still, we definitely had a memorable experience!

A great place to camp! It was quiet and we saw some wildlife. The other campers were very respectful of the quiet hours and the host was great! We'll be going back!!!
