The campground NEEDS a WiFi connection!!!!!!!!!!!!! Impossible to plan trips and mapping. Roads and sites need repaving, its a dusty mess. Bathrooms adequate, but I have my own motorhome. Offer hook-ups!!!!!More landscaping would help keep dust down. I did love my first time visiting but was so happy to get out of such a dusty and sandy environment

Nice campsites - campground hosts were superb! Easy hiking trails with wonderful views. Lots of wildlife to view.Showers/bathrooms need updating, but I think they are planning that. Washing machines and dryers at the campground store, along with ice and propane. It was easy to go across to Boquillas Del Carmen, Mexico for great food and souvenirs and friendly people. Take your passport.

The camp custodians were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the gentleman at the Visitor Center gave us great information to plan our short stay in the area. Our campsite was clean, clearly marked, and easy to book and find. I'm always impressed with the volunteers and employees at Big Bend and their commitment to ensuring all visitors have an incredible experience.

I had a great time at big bend. hot springs in Texas!! was a great experience if you go I do recommend you are aware of the animals in the area as we did see many chayotes. The roads can be a bit rough but nothing felt too scary to travel on. I would recommend bringing spare oil and gas as the neared gas station is about 70 miles away and prices are a bit higher.

Nice quiet campsite. Javelina pack of 8 or so passed through twice during our 4 night stay. Extraordinary! We were also visited by a Roadrunner on their daily routine to catch lunches/dinners!

The park was beautiful and well maintained except the shower facility which smelled horrible for our entire stay. Need to expand shower facilities and quit charging people $2 to take a shower in a stinky facility. That's insane.

I love outdoors and I love NPS. Both the locations and the care to offer us outstanding experiences. You are all doing a tremendous job. I am sorry to say that there is one feature that would require a better protection from you. It is peacefulness. There are way too much noise and way too much noises. Mainly generators and also idling cars and trucks. It is my belief that if your way of life, in camping, involves that much electricity, you should go to a hook up campground. Plainly. NPS is responsible to protect their parks, and do not see how offering pollution from noise fits in there. Please forgive me for thé translation. Read the message from a very happy camper. Thanks a million for your good work.

Rio Grande Village CG at Big Bend National Park . Woken both nights by campers arriving after 10pm(quiet hours) to set up camp. Mexican music from Boquillas could be heard at 1am as well as a donkey each night. Never once did i see the park ranger drive by. The site next to mine #20 had 3 tents on it. Two is the max but again no enforcement by the park. The handicap site #14 had the same van come in after 10 pm both nights loudly. He then ran is generator at 6am. Bathrooms literally had mud in the bottom of the shower stall. Two out of 3 showers were lukewarm to cold!

Wish we had more time to spend in the area. Each area had it's own special thing about it. The Village was lower altitude and a few easy hikes in the area. The short hike near the campground was fun and had interesting things to see. We were able to get campground reservations but had to move sites each day. Not a big deal for us as we were in a van and easily movable. We drove over near Emory Peak and the views were amazing. Weren't able to hike over there but wish we had time to do just that. There were $2 showers at the Village store. Limited selection of food items, looked like they usually stock more but didn't ask if there was a reason for the limited selection. We were able to find beer, wine, snacks and a few gift items for family. The store also had a large supply for camping needs. Definitely recommend visiting the area.

Too many people!! Utility sinks at restrooms were disgusting! We wouldn't go back there. Cottonwood was GREAT!

Fantastic location within the park, and very conveniently located to the store and showers. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice campground. Well located near the rio grande and close to a trail to admire beautiful sunset over the river and Mexico. Bear boxes are very convenient. Mostly quiet with spacious lots.

Great camping! It’s important for folks to note that temperatures are much higher down by the River than they are up on the Chisos region. We stayed in both areas in early April and the Rio Grande area was “hot” and 90+ by all definitions.

Rio Grande Village is a great place to start your Big Bend Experience. Stayed in early April and the temperature reached 100 degrees. The non-electric sites had enough shade to be able to manage the heat, but we moved around the park during the midday. The electric sites have little to no shade and you will need your awnings and air conditioner!

loved it, even in the cold weather! we had the perfect gear. 3 days and 2 nights gave us the perfect time frame to see santa elena, the boquilles canyon, hiked the window and lost mine trail. Best trip EVERRRR!!! will be BACK

The sites 20 and 24 (especially) at Rio Grande Village were well marked but still felt secluded despite their close proximity to other sites. The close proximity to the restroom was great and easily accessible fresh water made daily water refills easy for the desert hikes. The park employees walking the camps each morning are friendly and helpful during my trip.
