Big Bend is such a beautiful place! We loved camping at the RioGrande Village campground. We enjoyed stargazing, hiking and cooking outdoors. Restrooms were always very clean, we highly recommend this campground and will visit again soon!

The shelters at each campsite were really great during the heat of the day. Our site was directly across from a trailhead, so there was a lot of foot traffic and vehicles looking for parking (because there is almost none.) We even had people ask a few times to park in our sites driveway area. Bathrooms were great and very clean. Bring a black light to look for scorpions at night!

A great spot! The covered picnic tables are great, and the structures that support the roof are great for a hammock! This site is right across from the Nature Trail entrance though, so can get annoying with all the activity.

Nice, well maintained park. Some sites are permitted to use generators, others nearby arent permitted to use them but can clearly hear them. I prefer limited hours for all sites. The volunteer led geographical walk is worth the time.

No cell service or wifi, but the views and peacefulness of the area made up for that. Camp hosts greeted me and provided treats for my pups. Very nice people and made me feel welcome. Last night had two wild horses grazing right next to my Sprinter van! That was awesome.

Good base for this corner of the park. For bird watchers, the nature trail is excellent as is nearby Daniel's Ranch.

I'm in a generator allowed site, but it must be turned off in the hottest part of the day? (generator hours are 8-11am and 5-8pm.) The generator .keeps the A/C going that keeps the animals cool. Thus, I couldn't visit the park because we have cats and I had to be at the campsite to keep the cats cool. This is an inhumane practice! This also prevented me from seeing the park!

The campsite was clean, well-equipped, and the welcome was very kind. The campsite was a little smaller than I expected. Since only three of us came, it was plenty of room. However, had the original five decided to show up it would have been a little crowded. On our second night, a group of camper in the campsite behind our were extraordinarily loud late into the evening and finally concluding around 1 AM. It was so disruptive that we opted to leave around 2:30 in the morning because we could not get to sleep.

If you get a site on the outer loop (I had #18) they are nice and private. Bonus that you can hike up the nature trail for sunset or sunrise! Definitely take the trek over to Boquillas for some delicious Mexican food and margaritas! My only issue is with the company that runs the campground, Aramark. I accidentally left my good, expensive hiking shoes in the shower facility when we were leaving Big Bend. I called a couple days later when I was back in NY and asked if they could ship them to me and I would pay for the shipping. They just said that they don't do that and asked if I would be picking them up. I said no, I am in NY! Other than that though, it's a nice campground.

The hosts were super nice, very professional and helpful. We were staying in #18 which had lots of privacy. This was our 2nd time coming to this camp and most likely will come back.

First time camping and first time at Big Bend! It was a great time.We reserved a camp site at the Rio Grande Village campground which pleasantly surprised us. Easy access roads to the parks' trails and amenities, and also adjacent to accessible and easy trails and overlooks. The campground had clean bathrooms, running water, drinking water spigots, a visitor center, and a village store with all your essentials. The camp site had it's own pull off for our car, a cement pad with roof and picnic table, and most importantly that camp site had its own metal bear box for all of our food supplies.Eager to return to experience more of the park!

I love this campground! We have camped there in a truck camper and a tent, choosing an outer site is important, you dont want to be in with the RVs. This time we had site 18, which the host told us was the worst site as it is across from the Nature Trail. We actually loved this site as it was big and had a nice shelter. Love combining some time at Rio Grande and then nights in the Chisos Basin.

Loved the Rio grand Nature hike at sunset. Saw wild horses and a cowgirl riding along the river, both on Mexico side. Sunset was spectacular and the golden glow on the mountains was awesome.

We had a nice stay. Due to reduced reservations we booked 2 separate campsites for our stay. The first campsite was amazing! It wa secluded and roomy (18). The 2nd night was not that great (56). It was in the middle of everything and not secluded at all. The dishwashing station was bomb!!!

Site 018 is directly across from the nature trail head. Excellent opportunity to see a variety of birds from your camp site. Was a little worried at first that the traffic from those coming to hike the trail would be too much of a disturbance, but it ended up not bothering us at all. The site has pretty good privacy from the surrounding brush and a shade cover with attached picnic table. The site also has no campsites in front of you, although it does have the trail head. We had a 10-person tent that filed the site behind the shade cover. The site has an arc half circle pull-through drive. You can pull a smaller trailer through, but I would imagine a long trailer or RV would be tight to make work in the space. We stayed in two sites while here (028 and 018) and 018 was our favorite.

Nice campground on the east side of the park. We arrived early in the evening and just drove in and claimed our site. We could not have been happier with our site #18 across from the nature trail. Lots of cardinals and even had a coyote pass through. Spent 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of it exploring this beautiful National Park.
