Stayed here for our first night in the park. Very nice camp sites in a natural environment. We went on a hike to soak in the nearby hot springs which was very relaxing after a long drive. We took hot 5-minute showers for $2 in the clean bathrooms. There is sewage dump and fresh water. There were some younger men there stayed up til around 11 talking and laughing, and the next campsite over had a quiet generator. Nothing that kept us up and the generator was turned off for quiet hours. Very good stay, overall.

Really enjoyed our stay. Scenery was spectacular and we saw some wild life, had roadrunners visit our site daily, saw coyotes while walking around campground. Did a lot of hikes and enjoyed them all.

Our site was on the edge of the campground it has a shared driveway with site 1 but they didn't show up so we had the area to ourselves. There is a restroom very nearby to this site and they were well kept. The off duty camp host is two sites over. The camp hosts Paula and Bill said hello and gave us tips about the wildlife that is seen around the campground. She was so nice and friendly. We did see javelins and a bob cat one night, and heard owls in the nearby tree. It was one of my favorite campgrounds I've stayed at. Definitely recommend! :)

This "driveway" is shared with space #1. Think drive through space, you have half and the occupants of space #1 have the other half. This would be wonderful if you were travelling with another group. Worked well for us because the occupant of #1 never arrived.Great solar.

Campground was decent. Bathrooms could use a good cleaning.

Great location, fantastic store w showers and a little bit of cell coverage around the corner, beautiful loop trail to the RG and up to a fantastic view (the nature trail) and big campsites. We loved it and highly recommend!

Wonderful lawn to tent camp on with clean facilities. The picnic table was a nice plus. Beautiful to wake up to a distant view of the Chisos and the Rio Grande Nature Trail for a lovely sunrise walk. We saw javelinas, a coyote, and heard several elf owls during our time in the Rio Grande Village Campground.

It was hot and most were running their generator. It would be much better to put in electric AC is much quieter than generator. It is always warm here

We loved the Rio Grand Village campground (not the RV park), kind of wide open, with the irrigation and the trees, large sites. I don't know what the solution is but there needs to be something done about the generators. Yes, I know there are "no generator" areas but they were not as appealing or available. We were across the irrigation "pond" from some huge motorhome that ran his generator from 8-8. The weather did not suggest that. In five days, we ran ours for a few hours one afternoon when our batteries got low. Bathrooms were clean and rangers and others were terrific. We drove our truck out every day to see a new area. Got happily stuck in Boquillas Canyon but then were told it was too late to cross the river. We thought there was time and the border patrol guy was grumpy. We loved the parks interesting and diverse places. It should maybe be more clear to visitors just how far away from everything it is.

The donkeys braying all night were not ideal, but part of the experience… The visitor center near Rio Grande Village Campground did not have functional WiFi, so there was no connectivity unless we went to one of the other visitor centers. The first night we stayed there, one camper used their generator until 10 pm, thinking that it was allowed. Better signage about when generators are allowed (8-8 in this case) would have improved the experience for the entire campground. Despite these issues, the experience was great. The hike for both sunrise and sunset to the overlook was great. We also enjoyed the hike to the hot springs and back. The scenic drive was amazing, and we enjoyed hiking near the Chisos Basin visitor center. All in all, the experience of Big Bend was incredible, and well worth the journey to see it. So glad we went!

Excellent experience with park and park personnel. However, at either Panther Junction or Rio Grande Village stores I got a lot of water in my diesel fuel. Be careful.

The park was beautiful and very near some great hiking spots from the campsite where you could hike to the Rio Grande. We ended up moving to the location next door with hook-ups on our last night, mainly out of convenience.

Great location! Had a super friendly park ranger come up and talk to us for about 45 minutes and it was awesome getting to know him. The people that we shared a loop with were awesome and we shared a couple of drinks and talked late into the night. One of my favorite experiences car camping in recent memories, highly recommend!

Great campground, kept clean, clean bathrooms and access to water outside was good. Camp hosts are friendly and post weather conditions and information daily. Only downfall, can't get to the Rio Grande River very easily.

Wonderful trip to Big Bend. The campground was kept half empty because of Covid-19. The sites were big and really far enough from others that everyone had privacy. We were in a Class A motorhome.
