Really enjoyed our stay. Scenery was spectacular and we saw some wild life, had roadrunners visit our site daily, saw coyotes while walking around campground. Did a lot of hikes and enjoyed them all.

Our site was on the edge of the campground it has a shared driveway with site 1 but they didn't show up so we had the area to ourselves. There is a restroom very nearby to this site and they were well kept. The off duty camp host is two sites over. The camp hosts Paula and Bill said hello and gave us tips about the wildlife that is seen around the campground. She was so nice and friendly. We did see javelins and a bob cat one night, and heard owls in the nearby tree. It was one of my favorite campgrounds I've stayed at. Definitely recommend! :)

Nice campground with some trees. Tess is an excellent camp host. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
The donkeys braying all night were not ideal, but part of the experience… The visitor center near Rio Grande Village Campground did not have functional WiFi, so there was no connectivity unless we went to one of the other visitor centers. The first night we stayed there, one camper used their generator until 10 pm, thinking that it was allowed. Better signage about when generators are allowed (8-8 in this case) would have improved the experience for the entire campground. Despite these issues, the experience was great. The hike for both sunrise and sunset to the overlook was great. We also enjoyed the hike to the hot springs and back. The scenic drive was amazing, and we enjoyed hiking near the Chisos Basin visitor center. All in all, the experience of Big Bend was incredible, and well worth the journey to see it. So glad we went!
Excellent experience with park and park personnel. However, at either Panther Junction or Rio Grande Village stores I got a lot of water in my diesel fuel. Be careful.

The park was beautiful and very near some great hiking spots from the campsite where you could hike to the Rio Grande. We ended up moving to the location next door with hook-ups on our last night, mainly out of convenience.

Great location! Had a super friendly park ranger come up and talk to us for about 45 minutes and it was awesome getting to know him. The people that we shared a loop with were awesome and we shared a couple of drinks and talked late into the night. One of my favorite experiences car camping in recent memories, highly recommend!

So very accomodating! We came to Rio Grande Village during the snowstorm! They had availability for us to stay an additional day! The area was beautiful and we had a great time!
