Great place! Loved it, ready to go back. Stayed at Rio Grande Village Campground. The only negative was there is no connectivity. Except at the little store. They should invest in a wifi etender for the campground. If there was an emergency you are sol.

Overall, very good. We stayed at 3 separate sites in the generator section and all were adequate for our needs, with some having covered picnic tables for shade. Lots of wildlife in the area and excellent views. Campground hosts were excellent. NPS should add a 2nd dump port and fresh water spigot to the dump station as it was quite congested and, with the ability to enter the dump station from both sides, the traffic could be alleviated with this minor upgrade.

The host lady (Paula) was very kind and gave us a lot of information about things to do at the Big Bend National Park.

Love the large sites and the close access to the trails. Our campsite was level and large. Would definitely return.

Clean, plenty of restrooms and even a little dish washing station. Little charcoal grill and picnic table at your site. We had cattle come visit the first night and the second night we had a band of javelinas hang out. There were coyotes both nights, they’re not super scared of people but a quick clapping and “get get” makes them run. Worst part was some donkey kept braying through the night but we never saw him.

Fine camp with good amenities and great camp hosts. The one reason I've taken off a star at this time is that while mask wearing was strictly enforced in all buildings with Park Rangers, that was not at all true in the camp store, laundry/shower area, or common bathroom my tent was near and at the moment I have a fever and am wondering if one of my fellow campers passed along COVID to me even though I wore a mask. I'd estimate maybe 1/4 of the campers were doing this when entering these common buildings without any policing. Not really the fault of the park and I know they don't have the staffing resources to enforce this, but keep this in mind if you're expecting to have a camping experience outdoors where you're safer from covid - its not really possible to avoid the bathrooms.
