Best of the 3 campgrounds in Big Bend. I would select a non generator site in the future.

The camp hosts were very helpful and informative about local wildlife habits. The camp store was stocked with things I needed at reasonable prices. The showers were acceptable at a lower price than some other national park locations. The wifi at the store was ok but fluctuated in strength.

Great park for Adults and older teens. Park newspaper, trail maps , road maps,NPS App and other apps were so helpful along with great advice from park staff. This park might be hard for small children except for hanging out in Rio Grande campground. We especially loved the fact that in one week we could hike in the mountains, along the river and in the desert. Water is limited so planning is important. Definitely a must see park if you like hiking.

This was a great 4 day trip for my family. We have two kids (4 and 7) and they loved the fossil exhibit, hot springs, and nature trail. We went In January and it did get down to 17 degrees one night, so I was thankful we had a propane heater with us. The only downside was that we were in a Class C rv without a tow vehicle so we couldn’t go down a lot of the roads that led to other places we would have liked to see, but that was more just circumstance over something negative about the park. We will definitely be back!

Camping here in Big Bend was great. We only stayed one night, but bathrooms were clean, and campsite was good. We hiked to the hot springs which was a nice hike but we didn't take clothes to get in the water. We also crossed into Boquilleas which was a fun experience.

We spent 3 nights there and we really enjoyed it. We hiked the Nature trail near the campground and also rode our bicycles all over the park. In addition to this we hiked into Boquillas Canyon and to the Daniels ranch hot springs. We really enjoyed all of it.

We were at Rio Grande Village May 20th 2021, & it was already hot (102 @ Castolon). Animals were there (horses, donkeys, road runners, bats & a pig. A road runner walked beside me for about 50 feet; very cool! Rio Grande River was just a creek in some places, but we did stick our toes in it. We were disappointed that no Park Rangers were available. One was at Panther Junction, but they weren't even at the park entrances. Overall there was some terrific desert scenery especially on the Castolon side. The river road to Presidio was a very nice drive; kind of long with construction in 3 places though. Worth the visit.
