well maintained campsite. the nature trail is a wonderful spot for sunset. we encountered a peaceful javelina during our stay. nearby village store comes handy when needed, but the items they carry are limited. better stock up before visiting.

Location was good, sites clean, bathrooms warm and clean. Access to the showers, laundry and store was a short 5 minute walk.

This was a wonderful park with nice trails off of the park to overlook the Rio Grande. Big Bend is an out of the way gem. This campground was perfect and no complaints. Beautiful scenery and the well-kept park

Site 64 was level and even though it's listed as full sun there is a lovely tree behind it with picnic table. Also, being at the front of the campground wasn't bad either. Folks drove slowly and it wasn't too busy. It worked great for us!

Nice campground. Great camp hosts but the people who work at the store are some of the rudest people we have ever encountered.Wifi at the store worked well and there are showers and laundry available.

Loved everything about Big Bend. The host was super helpful and friendly. Make sure you do the hike that leaves from behind site 18. well worth it.

Very hard to get away from the sound of generators - even in the no generator zone. We were there 3 nights and people ran the generators the seconda quiet hours ended. Made breakfast and evening hours unpleasant

Rio Grande Village is a really mellow campground on the Eastern edge of Big Bend. Campsites are relatively well spaced and there are some trees for shade, although it's probably not enough to cool off midsummer. I was there in the Fall and the weather was great. The campground hosts came through and checked on things and were really friendly. There are several restrooms with water, so the facilities are good. There is a good system of potable water which is extremely useful in the desert. There is no cell signal but the campground is close to the store where wifi is available and there are nice shaded tables. The Rio Grande was relatively high so the hot spring (a few miles away) was underwater. Overall, another great National Park Campground and I'll be back.

Beautiful part of Big Bend NP with easy access to must-see sights, hiking and border crossing to a small Mexican village. Nice, open campgrounds with unusually clean restrooms. You could spend at least a day exploring just this area of the NP. Great area to catch sunrise and sunsets. 49min / 31mi drive to the more popular Chisos Basin Campground and trailheads.
