Area was great. Refreshing. Always reenergizing to be out there with nature. Unplugged. Off grid.

It would have been a nice stay if the pay showers had hot water. Attendant said the recirculation pump was broken and, although several work orders had been sent in, it was still not fixed. Unusually cold weather forced closure of the dump station during our entire stay, but it looked like a nice one. Hosts were fantastic.

The park was well-kept and it was very beautiful! Everyone around us were respectful and the night sky was magnificent!

Camped at Rio Grande Village. Large sites with covered picnic tables. Clean restrooms and the pay showers were not a problem. We stayed 4 nights. The Lost Mine hike was our favorite.

The camp site is great. Park is beautiful. But i will never understand not allowing generator use from 11am-5pm. During the hottest part of the day. We were there at the end of February and it was still 90 degrees during the day. Temperatures inside of my camper reached 101 on the hottest day.

Excellent and very friendly hosts. We stays mostly at site 15 and it was clean and close to both Nature Trail and restroom. Most of the people were following the guidelines of the campground. However, every once in a while some did not, mostly the quiet time hours. The nearby store has a very good combination of groceries and other materials. The diesel fuel was cheaper than the gas stations at the surrounding cities. The shower ($2 for 5 minutes) was very helpful to refresh after day long hikes.

They have added covered awnings to some of these campsites, not all but a whole lot more than last year when I came. It's great because not all spaces have a lot of shade from the trees. This is such a great campsite even though Chisos may be more popular since it does have a great landscape, Rio Grande is just more spacious and has so much right near it. Rio Grande Village store is right next door and has showers and wifi which the rest of the park does not have. You're just a couple miles from Boquillas crossing and tons of other activities. Chisos Basin may be more photogenic but this campsite is always my favorite to stay at due to the amenities.

While our stay at the Rio Grande Village Camp ground was pleasant, grounds are clean and maintained. Park hosts friendly and informative. I was disappointed with the laundry/shower facilities at the general store. One washing machine was out of order for at least 3 days so the line to do laundry was long. Consequently I made a point of going in early one morning, I was the first person there when the facility was opened after 'cleaning'. The top and sides of the washing machine were filthy. The outside of the dryer was not much better. Additionally the women's shower smelled, they either used a sanitizer that smelled like sewer, or they had a sewer oder problem. I don't want to seem a grouch, but when the National Park Service contracts with a company to run a facility like this, the company should be more accountable.

Loved it. Very clean campground, hosts were helpful, guests were quiet, great mix of young families, singles, older couples and everything in between. Clean facilities, enjoyed seeing wildlife, hearing wild burros at night, etc.

Large campground. All spaces were flat. Lots of space between campsites with some trees. Friendly hosts that gave us some insights on how the np campground system works that answered some things we wondered about. Bathrooms very clean but lights inside not all working so needed headlamp inside it at night. Showers and laundry facilities along with the capstone and gas station were available next to campground which was a huge plus for us. During the night we could hear lots of loud animal noises which was a very interesting experience!

The hosts were wonderful. The restrooms are clean as are the campgrounds. Not far from out tents we observed coyotes, javelinas, and wild burros. During the night one of the burros hee hawed something wild.

Amazing park! Campground was great! Hot during day, but comfy at night.

Two issues: someone ran a generator way too late…although the next day, the ranger explained the rules and it was better. The donkeys and cattle were VERY loud and active all night, so hard to sleep.

Really enjoyed the nature trail and overlook! Did lots in the park, and all was great!

We were very pleased with the site and the camp hosts. We had to leave early to have our AC repaired, turned out replaced. The camp host provide a name and number for the AC repair which turned out very well. They also took the initiative to get us reimbursed for the day we had to leave.

Back in campsite pads in generator section are severely sloped in three directions making leveling a challenge and requiring up to 5 blocks under one back jack. The back in site #58 was listed on the website as able to accommodate our fifth wheel, but we had to back in at a severe angle on the pad in order to fit. The rear ended up so high over the pad we needed a step ladder to get the bikes off the rack. The pull thru sites are much more level with more length, but all were closed due to Covid restrictions. Many of the loops were blocked off forcing one to drive through the very narrow and heavily treed back section of the campground. A bit harrowing to navigate the many cars parked on the roadside next to tent sites. Potable fill at the dump station did not have a screw on connector upon arrival, and although we carry adaptors, the dump hose had multiple holes in it making for a wet experience. Upon leaving, we noted maintenance had replaced the hose with a screw cap connector. Bathrooms were clean. Park hosts hospitable.

They had spots blocked off for Covid but did not spread others apart. Just blocked a section instead of distancing camp spots.
