This was the cleanest, and well-run campground we have ever stayed at, which includes several KOA campgrounds. The sites are large enough to provide space between you and your neighbors, forested enough for shade, with minimal underbrush so the is a definite feeling of openness. The camp hosts were friendly and proactively informative (shortly after we arrived they stopped by to tell us about grizzly bear activity in the area which we appreciated) yet respected your privacy during your stay. One thing of note, there is water available however it's from a hand pump style water source so if you don't fill your RV before arrival that'll be an issue.

Third time at this camp ground and we really like it. We are tent-campers and enjoy sitting outside in the afternoons/evenings with a camp fire. The sites at this campground are nice and semi-private. Lots of lodgepole pines! The C-loop camp host Sharon is such a nice lady and very helpful. We enjoy hiking up to mountain lakes, swimming at Georgetown Lake, and going to Philipsburg for some food (don't go on Mon-Wed as they're likely closed). We were told of this new place called Or.gan.ic Market, a food truck on the right side street up from the brewery. Amazing sandwiches and salads!

We had a beautiful spot and the site was in great shape to pull in and set up easily. The rest room was always well stocked and very clean. We got to meet the hostess and she was attentive to our needs and pleasant to talk to.
I am a retired FS employee with 33 years of experience, quite a bit of it in recreation. Phillipsburg Bay is a great campground with paved roads and spurs. Many of the spurs are long and wide enough to handle the newer and larger RV's and the vegetation is in good shape to provide shade. My standard suggestion for FS and BLM campgrounds where electricity is available is to provide power to some or all sites similar to Powell Campground on the Nez Perce/ Clearwater NF's. Many older campers have sleep apnea and need power and quite a few of the newer class A motorhomes have refridgerators that require power and will not run on propane. The increased costs for construction can be covered over time with increased fees which can be retained on the forest. We did this near Marble CO in 1991 and it was full all summer with no complaints. Loop A at Powell is so popular it is difficult to get a reservation, even 180 days out, and your data should support this. It is past time for the FS and BLM to get caught up with the recreation industry. Thanks for the opportunity to comment.
Saw two moose from our picnic table at a safe distance. Quiet. Paved loop road. Good tent sites and room to park two cars plus a dinner guests’ car. Outhouse was ok. Smoke relented for our two-night stay. 11am checkout is a bummer, though.
restrooms were clean and host very helpful we had car trouble, were a day late and they keep our reservation for our space

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
