An awesome place to unwind in April. The nearby town of Berlin offers a nice place to walk around and restaurants.

If you have a rig vs. tent, chose your site wisely because many put the picnic table on the opposite as your door.

Fantastic park. Great camp sites, horses and deer everywhere, nice spots for bike riding, crabbing, etc.

This campsite is at a great, private location on the bayside. I enjoyed biking to the ocean side beach and exploring the Life of the Dunes Trail, Life of the Forest Trail, and the Life of the Marsh Trail. The beaches are beautiful. I visited in September and had no issues with mosquitos. A trip to Berlin is a wonderful excursion. Assateague is a wonderful place to be!

Assateague Seashore National Park was wonderful! We stayed in B loop where there were trees and shrubs. Quiet loop. We'll be back in the fall. We didn't get to see the Radcliffe House which is near the visitor center. It probably is open now.

Very nice site, however its difficult to reserve a site and I saw lots of empty site, its quite frustrating

Very clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Campsites are spacious and restrooms centrally located. Convenient to many great restaurants

We had a terrific time! Our family has been camping at the national site for over 50 years! I have memories of when I was a little girl doing homework at our picnic table and horses were wandering behind me. This year, like always, we enjoyed so many things! It was a lot of fun going to the visitors center. The last couple of years, we really enjoyed having a host couple in the loop that we were on. They have been very helpful and so kind! Actually, last Sunday was my husband and my 40th wedding anniversary. Forty years ago, we honeymooned at the Assateague national campground!

Great Campground with tons of wildlife. Enjoyed our stay & will definitely be back. Stayed in B36, great location in the middle & pretty private site.

Being there the first week of November it was the off season, so the rental related activities (bicycling, kayaking, and such) were closed. The island and seashore were lovely. The campsites on the bay side were well maintained. The campsites on the ocean side where we visited friends were varyingly encroached by sand. If you plan to use the pit toilets, bring your own toilet paper.

My boyfriend and I have never been there and reserved a tent camp site on Loop B (Bayberry Drive) for 2 nights, October 12-14, 2021. It was much more than we expected. We saw turkey, deer, water fowl, crabs, dolphins, and of course tons of wild horses. The weather was beautiful that week and, due to it being later in the season, neither of us got insect bites. There is a ton to explore at the National Seashore and the neighboring town, Berlin, is very quaint. The ice cream shop there, Island Creamery, was well worth the trek out each night. Being woken by neighing and grass eating right outside the tent, then watching horses through the tent window, was something I'll never forget. We will definitely be visiting again.

One of my favorite areas! Love seeing the wild ponies and the ocean. Great social distancing signs and expectations.

Pros: Beautiful views, low cost.
Cons: Dirty bathrooms, lots of large spiders (we didn’t know about that so we didn’t bring that type of repellent)

Well maintained campsite with a brand new fire pit and picnic table. Unfortunately the "no generator" area (Bayside Loop B) is next to the zone that permits generators - which you'll have to listen to the entire day. Other campers were also upset about this. So, if you're hoping for a peaceful stay, use the tent camping areas instead. Some folks feel the need to bring a hotel to a National Park to the detriment of everyone else. Hope they're banned at some point.

A great place to camp and relax; with a bike path and several marked nature trails.

Enjoyed thoroughly although bath facilities could have been nicer.
