Assateague Nat Seashore is one of my favorite places. The park keeps it simple, wild, uncrowded and natural. It is a gem.

Awesome couple days at Assateague National Seashore Park. The site was in a great location, walking distance from the dunes and beaches. Bathroom (Porta-Potty Style) clean and spacious. Shower has cold water only. RV water fill station had low pressure and took a little while to fill up the tank.

Fabulous camp grounds, lots of space for your camper. You do not feel packed in with or against other campers. Perfect weather in late October.

Lovely campground, lovely experience. It was cold and windy, but we enjoyed it anyway. Camped in a camper with our 87 year old parent. She enjoyed the horses so much! Amazing how they just walk through the campground! We found the pit toilets to be clean and very useable. We really enjoyed the Life of the Marsh trail. It was ADA compliant which was very helpful because our parent uses a wheelchair to walk more than a few feet. Note that the Life of the Dunes trail is not ADA compliant at all. We were able to use the beach wheelchairs on the beach. Very appreciative of that availability. Would like to return in the future!

This is a beautiful place to camp. The check in was easy and with friendly rangers. The experience of walking the various trails and along the beach was wonderful.

I would be interested to see if the National Park could get scout troops involved with invasive species removal and trash pick up for the opportunity to camp amongst the horses.
