Everyone was very helpful. The experience of seeing the wild horses, from a distance of course, was incredible. I enjoyed the boardwalk it is the perfect place to observe the horses when they are around or across the water. My campsite on the sand was terrific!

Great location! This site was nestled in the dunes and felt quite private but still had an open view out toward the beach and direct beach access, unlike most of the sites in this loop. The horses walked right through our campsite in the evening on their way to the beach. Just a short walk to the life of the forest trail too.

As always it’s wonderful! Live just sitting on the beach or by the campfire with the horses wandering through at anytime. Close to Ocean City to go walk the board walk and Crisfield to go have the best crab cakes ever!

This should be a 5 star review. The camp area deserves it, and natural beauty is incomparable. The problem is day use folks penetrating the campers-only area and making shower use near impossible. Also, they cut through our site and right over the dune fence! It's like a southern border crossing in waves!! They drop gear along the way staging equipment moval over the no human access dunes. Then we went to dump gray water, and we were in line behind a guy slowly filling a 75 gallon camper tank with fresh water. Then he tells us "I'm not camping here. I just used my pass to get in and fill up here because I didn't want to wait in the line at the state park (next door) where I AM camping. I'm headed back there right after I fill up."

Great place to do nothing and relax! The beach was pristine, white sand and waves, horses were beautiful, it was very quiet with lovely scenery. Great place to walk and appreciate the earth.

Such an amazing experience. The horses roam around freely and sometimes walk through the campsites. I camped in the beginning of April and it was very cold at night but totally worth it.
