Campground was well managed. Sites are well maintained. Would recommend possible additional lighting options for showers. Maybe larger skylights to let more natural light into facility without adding electrical lighting.

Our stay was nice, we were blessed with perfect weather for the weekend. Our campsite was on the bayside loop, which was the only spot we could get, so it was about a 5 minute bike ride to get to the beach. But otherwise the campsite was adequate and clean. Horses wandered through the bayside loop every day which kept things interesting. Our one complaint was the showers. No warm water, so be prepared for a cold shower. And, no lights, so take a flashlight or your iphone if you go in after dark. I don't understand why they can't install a motion activated light. The restroom facilities at the beach had them. Otherwise, we had a great weekend and will definitely return!

I have visited many National Parks during the last 5 years. I am glad to see employees doing their jobs and enforcing rules and regulations. The employees at Assateague Island National Seashore treated me with respect and followed regulations in place which helps keep the park safe and cuts waste, fraud, and abuse. Checking Park passes and verifying owners is a very important process, this keeps the parks safe and reduces the amount of vandalism. The campground hosts did an excellent job, making sure camping equipment was in the proper place and food storage rules where followed.

Our stay at assateague island national seashore campground defied our expectations. It was cold, thus there were no showers, but it was indescribably beautiful. We would, and will do it again. (In the cold, without showers!) There were wild horses and deer everywhere, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and lovely well maintained trails. It will probably always be the best camping trip we have taken and will ever take. Such a unique experience being able to appreciate the wild life without the worry of predators. Close proximity to ocean city, where we enjoyed dining at rope walk and entertainment at the sport land arcade. We love assateague!

We regularly camp at Assateague and it is always a fantastic experience. Between the ocean and the beautiful ponies it never disappoints. This spring we got to observe a days old foal!!

We stayed in this campsite 2 nights. The mosquitos were absolutely horrible. We could not come out of our rig to sit outside AT ALL. We would make a mad dash from the rv to the car and be swarmed by them! We had all the bug spray and lotions recommended but still just horrendous at this particular site. Would not stay in this site ever again. We had a 44' motor coach and generator thank the lord. Otherwise we would have had to abandon ship.

This is a fabulous campground! Although there are no hookups, that was more than made up for by the large, quiet (at least this time of year!) sites. We had horses right next to the trailer! (Note - these are WILD animals and you need to stay a bus length away!) We highly recommend this spot!

Staff were extremely helpful as always. We camped bayside. There are several sites with a view. This is a great area in the cold months due to windbreak but very buggy in summer. Watch out for sandburs. These are very bad bayside and painful for pups.

We had a great time at the Assateague Island National Seashore Campground. Secluded beach, close encounters with wild animals, and spacious campground. Except for the army of mosquitos, we had a perfect time.

Visited in August 2019 for a week. Had a wonderful time. The beach is beautiful (little crowded on the weekends) and the marsh area is great for fishing, crabbing, and kayaking. Need a generator and it is hot, but we were off the beach and had a nice campsite.
