I would have given it 5 stars except that the bath room (pit toilet) Was not clean for several days.

Such a wonderful and well-kept campground. It was so awesome to see the horses wandering around the campground, and we enjoyed camping on the marsh side and observing the birds and beautiful sunsets. Definitely want to come back again.

Nice Campground but a lot of Insects. You might encounter some horses, eventually in the middle of the night. Toilets are not very nice and for $40/night one should expect a bit more 'luxury'. $25 would be a fair deal but $40 is definitely overpriced.

Signs guiding new camping folks around the park are a little lack luster. Bay side camping sign should be bigger or more prevalent that camping is this way, in larger print. Same goes for where you get fresh water. A hose for the dump station to clean the area after dumping would be nice. Contact station ranger was not friendly or helpful. Maybe he was having a bad day. Also the ranger we checked into at the ranger station was not friendly or helpful. But to the pretty young lady behind us he was super friendly. But the park it’s self is a jewel.

The hiking trails were great. The campground was excellent and the horses walking through our site made it even better. The campground hosts were fantastic to talk to also.

The campground was excellent. The paved camp sites were level and well spaced. The campgrounds were both very clean and well maintained.

Fantastic camping! Be sure to anticipate long lines getting into the park on weekends, once you get there you won't want to leave. There is a beach store with a few essentials incase you forgot to pack anything including ice and fire wood.

The campground was lovely, biking trails excellent, kayaking in the salt marshes delightful and the HORSES, the horses were so wonderful. Definitely feral but right inside our campsite at times. Ao much fun to watch the little filly jumping and playing. Also the sika deer were adorable and also right in the campground grazing

Grossly inefficient management of day passes with campground reservations. Upon issue of cg pass, day pass needs to be confirmed for term thereby eliminating reentry delay. Your trying to get too much money by adding day pass fee on top of cg fee.

Loved seeing the ponies and hearing the ocean at night.

We visited at the end of March 2021. The weather was fabulous - highs in the mid 50’s and lots of blue sky and sunshine. We camped on the bayside - had regular wild horse visitors in/around our campsite (an absolute delight), and great bird watching over the marsh. Visited all the trails - all were relatively short and each offered unique views and information; two include great boardwalks over marshes. We did several long hikes down the beach - loved the solitude, with infrequent opportunities to pass by over-sand vehicles or groups of backpackers. Also visited one of the remote bayside primitive campgrounds - lovely.
