Wonderful overnight stay. Our RV sight was on the oceanside was clean and well kept. Horses came walking through that evening around dinner time that made our night. The hiking trails were very pretty- dunes, and nature trails were wonderful for picture taking. It was the highlight for us on our east coast trip from the midwest

Good luck getting reservations here. Their system makes it unfair for most people . Its too bad because this is a beautiful place with nice sites and an awesome beach

it was a great 2 days.. the ponies wandered through the campground. I was at Oceanside. You can see beautiful sunsets and sunrises from the dunes. Also hear the waves on the beach.. If it wasn't so far from Missouri.. I'd go back frequently.

This simple campsite gave us everything we needed: access to the beach and the opportunity to see the Assateague horses. We loved having the opportunity to jump on our bikes and use the bike lines to see the seashore. This is a magical place.

The process to reserve a campsite was horrible. Took me 2 days to finally fully reserve a site that showed availability. I waited over an hour in line to get in to the park. Registering at the ranger station was archaic. The park is beautiful but getting in here was abominable!

RVer's, you need to be prepared for the "boondock" experience. That means being able to secure food, and being ready to experience bad weather. Fortunately, we enjoyed good weather on our day at Asseteague, but that is obviously not always the case. It's useful to have a generator in good working condition (ours wasn't this time). But this is a place to experience the natural shore environment, for better or worse.

I would give a 6 star but it’s not available. We did have a difficult time getting a reservation to stay but managed to find a few days out of the entire summer so took what we could get. Once we arrived it was nothing but awesome. Clean, well managed and everyone respected other guests.

Wonderful experience for first time camping. Camp host was very helpful.

I’ve been going there since I was a young child, and to bring back my daughter was amazing! Its always beautiful to camp at place that has freely roaming wild horses and to walk along the beach especially when it is outside tourism season. They’re doing a wonderful job and continue to make the best memories for families!
