Cobbled together a 4 night stay in 3 adjacent campsites. Site 56, 52 and 54. I had last been camping here about 15 years ago and the sites are very small with less privacy compared to what they used to be, however, it's still an absolutely lovely place to spend a beach trip. Site 54 sat at a high spot on the dune with 56 just slightly to the right side and site 52 to the left side and in front of 54. One of the picnic table latches was completely out of alignment and couldn't be used to secure food. I was fortunate to have taken a latched trunk.

I was devastated to read the article regarding the need to relocate one of the horses. I would suggest that the rangers provide more verbal education regarding not feeding horses. When I check in, the rangers never provide any education, and assume everyone reads the posters and print education. I also would suggest that campers call rangers if they see other campers feeding horses, or being irresponsible with storing of food. Also, increase the fine for feeding them. This did not have to happen...shame on us humans!!

We camped for 2 nights at an Oceanside Walk In site and loved it. Not sure we would have been as happy if we had a site lower down within the dunes since there was no breeze and more bugs. With being closer to the ocean, there was a constant breeze that kept the bugs away. The only issue we had was that there was no place dedicated to washing mess kits/cups, etc. There was a water pump near the showers but it wasn't a good spot
for washing dishes...maybe there is another location & we just didn't know about it? I would definitely recommend bringing a screen house and/or a canopy for shade. I would definitely camp here again!

We camped at a ocean side walk in site. Bathrooms and shower were clean. We walked the beach, got up for sun rise and at night watched the stars. It was beautiful!

From the moment we arrived at the gate, the staff was professional, courteous, and welcoming. The weather was perfect the beach is cleaner than any beach in American and the horses were very active. We could not have asked for more in our short stay.

Amazing place! The facilities were clean! Water in the showers is COLD, so keep that in mind! Check in/out easy. My family truly enjoyed it!
