Walk in ocean site was fabulous- in the water by 8 am! Showers & bathroom were better than expected.

Our favorite place to camp. So beautiful, clean and well-run. We have been coming on Memorial Day weekend for 25 years. We don't do much when we come aside from enjoying the beach and cooking food at the campfire. I highly recommend bringing a screened tent for use over your picnic table for sunshade, protection from mosquitos and deter horses when you are eating. I love the bins under the tables and all the warnings this year about putting food away when you go to bed at night or even when you leave the site to do an activity which we learned to do years ago but many people don't realize is important.

We loved this spot -- even though there were high winds and rain, we had a great time. (Pro tip for windy camping on the beach -- fill empty gallon jugs with sand, bury them, and tie your tent lines to the handles. Your tent won't go anywhere! Just make sure it's strong enough for wind in the first place)The horses were majestic as always (and a little rude, but that's horses for you), the facilities well maintained, and the staff and other campers friendly and polite. Will return!

Excellent site, great weather and decent facilities. Inconsistent internet for Verizon & att. Download music, streaming isn't reliable.

The boxes under the table were great to keep coolers and thermoses out of reach of the horses but raccoons can still get in. I noticed more horse patrols than previously and less unwanted human interactions with the horse. This is good, it keeps them wild and alive. Thanx for the food storage upgrade since 2019.

The campsites are beautiful, and very well kept. We stayed in a tent site on the beach, and had the sounds of the sea and the ocean breeze with us the entire time. The wild horses of Assateague greeted us in the morning as they strolled thought the campgrounds just feet away from our tent. The various trails and wildlife habitats, plus the beautiful beaches, made this a trip my family of 5 will definitely be doing again.
