I love this park. Our site was clean and right on the beach. We participated in the clamming and crabbing expo with the rangers and loved it. Cant wait to come back next year!

Please, please dont let a corporation build wind mills that would change the seascape view from Assateague Island. I am an Acute Care Registered Nurse. Assateague Island gives me a sense of peace like no other place in the world.

We love camping at the Oceanside sites. Each site has a fire ring and picnic bench, and the sites are a short walk from the parking lot, so you can lug in as many luxuries as your heart desires, so long as youre obeying NPS rules. Youll fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the pounding ocean, and if you and your fellow camp sites are quiet, a horse may come snuffling by in the night or early hours.

Beautiful site with almost unobstructed view of the ocean. Perfect place to relax and see the sunrise. You can see so many stars and even some colors of the Milky Way at night. Wild horses come through the campsites around dinner time but we didnt have problems as long as you out stuff away. There are foxes at night that try to snag left out food. Wild deer and rabbits run around too. Tons of crabs on the beach. Really beautiful. The restrooms are fairly clean but are outhouses and kind of nasty (dont look down). The showers are very cold - no heat. We brought a wagon to carry our stuff to the campsite and it was really hard to get the wagon through the sand and a hill of sand to the site. Despite all of this its 100% worth it to check this place out. What a fantastic park!Theres a store on the park land but it has odd hours. Ocean city is like a 20 minute drive away for grocery stores, firewood, etc.

Great experience except for the horses invading the campsite at dinner time and at 10pm. They’re out of control.

It’s great to camp right on the beach. The campfire rings and picnic tables are a nice added bonus. The park crew regularly cleaned the facilities. The wild ponies come through if you’re lucky. It’s a great place!

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
