I love the beach, horses, sunset on bayside, and wildlifeone of my favorite places to camp!

Pros, Nice park and reasonable rates. Very close to beach. They don't hassle you about drinking. Cons, Hard to get into. Site says they are fully booked but half sites are empty need to encourage canceling so sites can reopen. Also an outdoor sink for doing dishes would be a big improvement.

Besides the bugs this is a beautiful natural area with so much to do. Cannot wait to go back!

It was amazing. Other than our first night there which was nothing but wind and rain everything else was amazing. Especially seeing the horses so close and even in our camp.

Deet and permethrin were fairly effective but wr did still deal with some greenhead bites. The life of the dunes trail was exceptional and I'm so glad we did it.

Another outstanding trip, standing family tradition. Perfection.

The website did NOT say that the showers were locked until April 15. There were no signs on the showers. I walked all over the campground looking for an unlocked shower before I found a docent who explained the situation.

Baby powder works great for removing sand from your skin! :)

Camped in site 67 which is a fantastic location close to the car and not far from the beach. Litter was aboundebt but after my sons leave no trace policing the site was clean. Site was very conventient the latrine and dumpster but far enough away to not smell them. Hoping to return to watch rocket launch out of Wallops.
