We love this campground. The Lake is fantastic and great for the whole family, with kayaking, boating, fishing and playing on the beach. The campground was nice and peaceful, with deer wandering through the sites. It rained a little each day but always cleared up by late afternoon.

Would love to tell everyone the place is awful, but that would be a total lie! This campground and area are amazing even after the fires the burned much (but not all) of the area's forests. Campsites are well kept, the bathrooms are pretty clean, other campers when we were there were respectful and friendly. Dogs were USUALLY on a leash, but be warned - not always. Loved the lake and canoeing on it. It's bigger than you think. Duchesne is about 30 to 40 minutes away. Cell service is about a 15 minute drive toward town. Oh, an the ice cream at the little log cabin resort of Moon Lake Resort is fabulous! Our second time here and we'll be back. Note: We have been twice on Memorial Weekend. One year it was sunny and in the upper 60's each day. This time we had a bit of wind, rain and snow. Springtime in the Rockies goes either way. If you're tent camping, I recommend waiting til mid June.
