Very nice park, lots of room to get into site. We needed to lift the right side quite a bit to get level, and that, coupled with a drop-off from the pad to picnic table, meant it was a distance from the bottom step to a narrow strip of ground - a few more years, and I wouldn't be able to get in and out of the trailer. However, the view of the lake was lovely, and the sites were well-spaced. We were recommended this site by the very helpful ranger on duty, and I appreciate that. I'll bring a stepstool next time. Had a bit of trouble finding the site because the map on the recreation.gov app is inaccurate, and the paper map at the entry booth is obscured by a big "Burn Ban" sticker on the window. Still, all part of the adventure. The park was quiet, and most of the sites near us were occupied by tents. We camped at Waveland Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Site 44 is great. We usually always stay in this area. Bring your 50 to 30 amp converter. The site fit our 34’ camper just fine.

Campsites need lots of work and updated for larger campers. We cant get our new camper into site 50. Very poor construction

We were not pleased with how unlevel the spot was. Required a good 3 inches of elevation on one side to level plus the front of the trailer had to be raised very high. One should be aware that a "run" to the store is about a 15 mile round trip. Of course it was beyond the parks control but most of the week was very windy but our spot was not catching as much wind as those up on the hill. Still, I might be inclined to use this spot again and picked a few others but we were not overly impressed with most of the spots. Ours was one with the covered picnic table which was nice and the workstation.

This place was AMAZING! We had one of the best spots (44) which had water views from 2 spots. We could watch the kids ride their bikes without a worry! The place was so clean. I cannot wait to stay here again!One downfall is it was close to the dumpsters so there was a moment when it stunk but the lid was left open.

There was no dumpsters anywhere at the park for our trash for the first 2 days we were camping,

Location was great but somewhat non-level. Would be nice if several of the sites had new asphalt. Loved the area and views.
