Beautiful park right on the river's edge. I enjoyed watching the tugs and their barges navigate through the lock. Birds were abundant as flock after flock were migrating through. The traffic on the nearby bridge dissapated as the evening wore on, making for a great camping experience.

We stayed in Site B7. It was easy back-in for our 38 ft motorhome with room to park our towed jeep in front. I believe we had 5-7 ft extra to accommodate a larger rig. We share the 1st part of our entrance drive with site B8, so it could be more challenging if this sit is occupied with a larger rig. We had a good view of the river and saw barges daily and of course the dam. the site offered good water and stable 50Amp service. It also had a stone picnic table to use. It was easy in and out of the park and only a few miles to Walmart or several good resturants.

Beautiful place and loved the lock and dam. One issue was our neighbor that had 3 vehicles and a boat in his site that made it impossible to use the shared entrance to our site. He came out at one point but was drunk enough that we didn't have him move his trucks. We had to cross the grass to get into the site and ended with our camper in an awkward angle.

We were in site B07 - it was a waterfront site with a shared entrance with the next site, so backing in was a little difficult (but I'm not great at backing in). The utilities were good, the bathrooms were clean, the sites were well kept. Staff were friendly and excited about the Halloween trick or treating and the site decoration contest. We enjoyed watching the barges enter the lock across the river and will definitely return.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I love the location by the lake. This was my 2nd stay at Toad Suck RV Park on my return trip from Kentucky. I only stayed one night this time, but I had stayed longer than expected in Kentucky so, I had to cut it short. My first visit was for 2 nights with a friend. I wish we had more time to stay there, but again we had to move on. I will return soon for a longer visit. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful.

What a beautiful park! All campsites are very easy to park, lots of room, good access to water and electricity. The river is gorgeous! Very peaceful. Special shout-out to Volunteer Coy for his help in getting us to a great camping spot.

The campground itself was very nice. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions beyond the control of the COE, we had to leave after one of our four planned days at Toad Suck Park due to forecasted softball-sized hail and tornadoes. While we were at Toad Suck Park, we enjoyed watching the tows on the Arkansas River navigate the lock across the river. The sound of water rushing through the dam on the river made a nice "white noise" backdrop to the area.Although not within the scope of the review for Toad Suck Park specifically and not at our request, Recreation.gov generously refunded our reservation fees for time at Toad Suck Park, apparently recognizing the impossible situation that we were put in because of the weather forecast.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
