The two ladies that worked at the park were very friendly, the campground was clean and well maintained.

The grass around the campsites was knee high. There were also so many stickers in the grass, we could only let our dog go in one tiny space. If we hadn't had a concrete slab to walk around our camper, we would have left. We encountered many other campers saying the same thing.

We are big fans of CofE campgrounds. One frustrating problem has been discovering a reserved site is too unlevel. We arrived at Toad Suck and received excellent help selecting a level camp site from among the available sites. We then reserved that site at rec.gov. Great hosts and great campground.

Pulled in late without reservation. Gate employee told us how to reserve online. We did so and was in a spot within 20 minutes. Beautiful place. Hope to go again. The only problem we had was with the website.

Really wish we'd planned more than a night at this park. The park is very clean, the sites are large with concrete pads.

This was our second RV trip. Many lessens learned on this trip. It was wonderful other than getting there unexpectedly at dark 30 & not knowing the park, the first night was a little nerve racking. With our 38 ft motor home needing a 50 amp plug in site & only having a 30 & a 120 amp therefore, our heat didnt work. At 30 degrees outside, we were so glad the dogs were with us to help keep warm. At the time, we had not learned how to use the on board LP system to turn over to its system. My son lived very close so he came to help us work that out the next day. The second night, we were in a different site which had the 50 amp plug outlet to run everything needed. The ranger on duty was very nice & helpful. We really enjoyed visiting with him. The park was so much more alive with RV campers & some tents here & there than the first trip we had taken. The bathrooms were clean & easy to find. Not far from our site the lock & dam stood but even so it was not loud but busy even in November. There were a few fisherman out enjoying the autumn sun through the beautiful color changing trees leaves in the nice breeze. We plan to go back in the spring of 2022. Thank you Toad Suck for the wonderful visit.

Very quiet RV park, hosts are friendly and helpful with any problems - if they can't help, they can direct you to someone who can.

We had a terrific site at the end of the road across from the water. The RV hosts were so nice and gave us great directions.

The level site with new concrete driveway and patio that I was at in Loop C was excellent! Bathrooms were cleaned daily, but were messy with mud tracked in by people fishing on the river who weren’t camping at Toad Suck Park. The Park Attendants were most helpful. I hope the gravel road leading to the park will soon be paved.
