This is a nice park close to the Arkansas River. Our initial sites, as I recall A14 & A15 were MUCH to sloped to put a camper and motorhome on - no way to get level. Visited the office - moved us to C4 & 5 -- which were to close but let us stay 1 nite past the closure date. This site was good. Bathroom & shower facilities good. Fun watching barges go into the locks. Not alot else to do in area - so just hung out by fire in cool afternoons and evenings.

We've been wanting to get back to Toad Suck after staying a night there quite a few years ago. The park was a nice as we remembered. Not having any idea of which sites might be good or sites we might want to avoid, we probably got into the least level site in the campground doing a hone reservation. C6 was still right at the water, but a real challenge to level the camper. We made note of the level and un-level sites and will be back to visit again - Better armed to pick a site.

The weekend before Thanksgiving we were staying at Toad Suck when the temperature dropped to 22 degrees overnight. At about 2am the 30 amp breaker clicked off and could not be reset. We limped through the night on the 20 amp plug. At 9:00am, when the office opened, I reported the incident. The gentleman manning the office telephoned someone, who arrived at about 9:15am. That gentleman immediately began repairs, and we had 30 amp service by 9:30am. OUTSTANDING ! I cannot say enough good things about the Corp of Engineers ! Their RV Park and their service to the community is awesome. We are from out of state and were visiting our daughter, who is a graduate student at UCA. We truly enjoyed our stay here, and will stay again every time we visit Conway.

We loved the park, but the campsite we got, (the last one not booked) C-6, is the worst site I have ever been in. It should not be booked by a camper over 20ft. I tried for two days and never even got it close to level. The area and the actual park are very nice, and we will be back.

The site we had was very beautiful to wake up to early in the morning with a river very peaceful. The shower houses are clean.

A lovely park by the river. Very clean and well managed. Lots of play area for children and a great place to ride bikes. We rented a pavilion for Thanksgiving. It had lots of tables and electricity. Highly recommend this park!

Lot C-6. Traffic going over the river was loud. The constant blowing of the horn and siren at the lock and dam was annoying all night. The cover over the table was gone and stubs of the 4x4's were sticking out of the concrete 4-5 inches so I had to put buckets over them to keep from tripping over them. The parking area for the camper had a downhill incline so your tongue is on the ground. We will not come back.
