I have lived in this area my whole life..campgrounds are not maintained the way they used to be. There was 2 dead trees that will eventually fall on someone's camper. That was just in my site!! It's a shame the Corp has let all the campgrounds fall into disrepair. I love Lake Ouachita--

We had a very good time while at Denby Point Campgrounds but I didn't like it that while we were in burn ban there were a few camp sites that were burning and one buy us that didn't follow the dog leash rules. But some people are going to buck the rules.
All and all we had a great time and loved our stay.

We had the most awesome place. It was spot 25. It had the most room on a campsite I had ever seen. it was had lake access for boats or kayaks.
The restroom was clean also.

Good campground. Too many dogs running loose and leash and rules on dogs not being enforced.

We love coming here, but I don't like that all sites are reservable only, it should go back with some sites first come sites so that you don't have to worry about moving around from site to site, since some people only reserve sites for one or two nights. Thanks

Our stay at Denby Point was great as was the campsite itself. The reason for the 3 star rating is due to the change in the reservation policy which now requires all campsites to be reserved - no first come first served. This change is not going to work long term as most sites are now being reserved for only a 2 or 3 night stay. This prevents many extended stay campers (7 to 14 days) from being able to reserve only 1 site for the duration. For the reservation system to work fairly for all, there must be sites set aside for extended stay.
