Place needed mowed the people in charge of cleaning and mowing are not doing their job. Camper’s let their dogs run free. The last couple of years the place has gone downhill.

A4 is awesome! Peaceful, on the water, views are wonderful and clean. We camped in our 23 camper with zero issues. If you need access the public showers / restrooms use the c/d loop the a side is not well kept. We camp here a lot, love this place!

We love Shoal Bay ,but we found the gate host won't be there next year ,This saddens me, wish there something we can do to change this.

Grass needed mowing, but they actually did that towards the end of our stay.

The campground was fairly nice and decently maintained. The major issue was the canadian geese that lived there. There were immense amount of geese poop all in our campground. The other issue was the swimming area. The second day we was there there was some kind of gel like substance in the water. It was stated to us by someone famaliar with the area that this campgrounds swimming area is usually shut down due to ecoli in the water from the geese. If our camp location wasnt littered with probably over 100 diffrent piles of geese poo and the swimming area(which is of the highest importance to my kids) was not so "gross" i would rate this campground much higher. I remember camping here 30 years ago and remember clean water and definetly not tons of goose poop.

The person who runs the office is always soooo nice & he helps us with whatever we may need. He is always a delight!!

This is one of my favorite parks in Arkansas. The host are always very friendly and helpful. We were under tornado warnings and the host came to warn us early in the day to prepare for it and what actions to take.
