First Trip Success at Tar Camp!We just finished our first stay in our "new to us" motorhome, and Tar Camp was the perfect choice. Our site D-03 was nice and level with reliable water and electric hookups, which made our first setup a breeze. The location is incredibly peaceful and being so close to the river was so relaxing.

I normally stay at this campground for a couple nights every year. The camp ground is generally clean, and the shower restroom area is acceptable. Consumer Cellular - little to no service

Had an amazing time. Nice campsites. Caught alot of fish. Campsites right on the river.

The park was full the weekend we stayed around July 4th. A lot of families enjoying time together and the part was still a quiet place to relax. Sites are well spaced in most areas. A new bathhouse had been installed. There was concrete from the camping pad to the picnic table area, except for the site we chose. Was a bit unlevel going from the pad to the table. We were still happy to be camping on the bank of the Arkansas River, enjoying the breeze in the shade even with the extreme temperatures. We will return.

We loved this campground! Right on the Arkansas River! Our site number was D03, shaded, right on the river with nice amount of space on each side. We enjoyed watching the barges slowly go by. Lots of wildlife especially if you are a birder. Well maintained and easy to get to. We hope to return soon.

This park was stunning, shady and beautiful view, right on the ArKansas River. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Never been to this park, but if in the area, I will be back.With the America the Beautiful pass, after discount, this park was not only beautiful, but a great price.

For the week we were there we were only 1 of 4 other campers. We absolutely loved it! It was quiet, clean and the most peaceful vacation we have had yet. The grass needed mowing when we arrived but that was taken care of the next day. This is my most favorite camping spot yet.
