Two showers for forty campsites was not enough. Other than that, very nice.

Campsite #21 was an excellent spot. It was a tight fit for a 26' camper and Toyota Tundra pickup. Had to back the camper all the way to the curb stop and park the truck within inches of the hitch. But what a super nice grassy spot behind the camper! Lots of room for a tent +. Other sites along river don't have near the grassy area we did. It has a picnic table and fire ring. Full hook ups. Very peaceful even at full capacity. You are one campsite away from stairs leading down to river and trail head. Restroom only had 1 toilet and 1 shower (and could be locked if occupied) but extremely clean. Everyone was very respectful and we will definitely stay again. We will choose #25 in future for a bit more parking space. Space #20 even shorter. Again, others along river short on grassy spot behind camper but maybe you could hear the water more. Some don't have fire rings. I would probably not stay at campsites along road, it is very busy.

I enjoyed my stay. The campground is nicely maintained. Most campsites are nicely spaced. So you're not right on top of your neighbor. Water and electric utilities in my site worked fine. The site was fairly level. The campground has a very nice amphitheater, but there were no nightly Ranger talks happening while I was there. A shuttle from the campground to the Hot Springs would be helpful, possibly funded by small fee or donations. There is very little RV parking available near the visitor center. The RV sanitary dump station was out of service during my visit. It's sad to see amenities in a National Park campground out of service. It seems to take a very long time to make the repairs and put those features back in service again.

Great spot! Site 21 backs to Gulpha Creek, which makes playing in the water super easy if you have kids. Theres also a large grassy area between the site and the creek. It was a little tight to get into (25 ft trailer) since the fire ring of the site across the road is quite literally touching the road, so there wasnt much space to maneuver. But after some awkward back and forth we made it work. And you cant beat hookups in a national park.Getting into the town to see the bath houses is easy- you can either hike ~1.5 miles or drive over and park. Easy access to other trails from the campground as well.
