Great spot - one of the few pull-thrus on Lake Quachita. While we were there, they came through to weed eat - nice! Rangers and hosts are always helpful. Thx!

Other than the severe storms that came through, we enjoyed our time at Joplin and will be returning again.

Beautiful campground, and its quiet for the most part. The site I was on was up high, but still had access to the water, although it was difficult to go up or down the steep hill. Power was out due to a weather event from before, but it was promptly back on the same evening I arrived. The dump station is fairly easy to access and the bath house next to it was very clean, although couldve used some ventilation cause it was very hot and humid in there.

Ants were everywhere in the campground. We sprayed the inside and outside of our camper everyday. We knew of several other campers that had to do the same. Ants swarmed the trash bins in the campground.

What a lovely campsite! While overall it isn't super great for a big rig like ours, we loved our campsite! We we there after the Labor Day holiday and it was very quiet. Which was a plus on the road as it was narrow and curvy with blind corners! We plan on coming back!
