Amazing trip. This campsite has a beautiful view of the sunsets on the lake. The warn path directly to the lake is a little steep for my age (would be easily handled by children), but the next site down has an easy path to the water. I went swimming daily from the bank. The bank area is rocks so no mud or fear of snakes. The camp is well maintained, and garbage cans emptied daily. I have straight talk phone service, the reception was outstanding even to the point I was able to stream a movie using the hotspot. The campground was quiet. A deer and her baby visited along with multiple squirrel, and a blue herron. My job is stressful and I went for solitude and quiet. This campsite was exactly what I ordered.

Campground was very nice and well taken care of. Lake Ouachita is beautiful. Proximity to the Lake Oauchita Vista trail and the vista point is a plus. We had site 29 with water and electric. It was a nice flat parking area with plenty of room for our truck and 28' trailer. Beautiful western views of the lake. Would definitely go back.

It is absolutely gorgeous! There are tight curves so make sure you will fit with your trailer. Ants were everywhere, bring spray. Grass needed to be mowed as well. Overall, I can overlook this just for the beauty and peace.

I don't like the online reservations 6 months out, we are impulse people. Got a free weekend, go.
The week after the holiday was perfect, no crowds. Lake was clean and water calm. No weather issues all week. Camp site was a little tight for a 30 ft. camper and boat but we got it done. Left the boat in the water all week, not something we usually do. We had a nice cove within walking distance to park it in.

Just wish you had a few spots with sewer hook ups
