Clean, well maintained facilities. Helpful park host. Great location. Wish all campsites had lantern posts and roofs over the picnic tables. Other than that it was wonderful.

The park was well maintained and the staff was very friendly.

The park was decent but the biggest issue was the constant people who were just coming to fish daily would walk through our campsite. Very disrespectful to say the least! We asked several to walk around like they were supposed to and instead of being polite they argued and said we should move. We reported it to the main office but all the help ended in nothing at all. If I was to stay here again it would be down at the other end where it's much nicer. We even had people with flashlights at 4am walking through and shining lights through our site. Very disappointing!

Staff was very friendly, but until I arrived I did not realize my site was in the Most run down area of the park, the southern C area. This actually could have been ok but locals (lots of people fishing, some walking dogs) were continually walking between the closely placed campsites to access the river. The COE park knows about this local foot traffic since there are mown paths to get to the river access points, and several signs saying parking for campers only. I did not feel safe and departed after one evening, (reservation was four nites). If the campground had mentioned the locals walking between campsites multiple times a day I would have never booked this site. No one was in the office the morning I decided to leave; calling the office number went to a recording but never stated the name of the park so no idea where I was calling. No doubt the glowing reviews for this COE park only describe the northern section of this campground, which look renovated and do not have locals walking between the sites.

If you book a site in section C be aware it is in the older section of the park. When we were there they closed the bathhouse so it was inconvenient.
