Actually I was pretty disappointed in visiting Heber Springs. With work camper being headquartered around there I expect a whole lot more than I found. When we got there someone else was occupying her our site and had long overstayed the time they were supposed to be out of the campground. I didn't have to wait for the ranger to come for the gate attendant to assign me another campsite. The campsite needed cleaning there was leaves everywhere and I was disappointed to find out that all that was available was the electricity there was no water on the site. The sites were also closer together than I like and the road configuration made it difficult to get out of the campground. Couldn't see much of the lake because there were so many trees there. The campsite we originally had backed up to the lake and the one we were assigned was on the other side of the road. Wasn't real happy about that.

Nice peaceful place, for the most part. The weekend was a little loud and hectic due to the party of loud drunks next too is that obviously didn’t care about the quiet hours. The rest of the week was awesome.
