We thought we were lost when we arrived at the Camping / Marina check post. I was very stressed and the park attendant Tony DePriest greeted me with a smile and was extremely patient. To add insult to injury, I had messed up our reservation. My phone wasn't getting reception (Sprint) like I needed so I couldn't get online and correct it. This kind man used his phone and helped me get my reservation corrected. What a blessing! During these crazy times we certainly need more kind people like Tony! I found the signage a little confusing because it states Camp area "D". Once you leave the check post it is easy to find your area by watching for the brown signs with the Loop letters on them. L Loop is on the left. You will see the large Bath house at the entrance. I and my family stayed at Greer's Ferry Dam Site Camping on L-33 for two nights and really enjoyed it. The L-33 site is large but only has one drive way. Our two vans easily fit in the parking space provided. There was room to pitch two tents. We were able to have a fire in the provided fire pit. We had six camp chairs around the fire ring and could have fit more. The large picnic table fit all six of us at meal times. There is also a small round table that was a very nice additional space to set things on. The large combo bath / shower rooms were close enough to walk to if you like walking. Take your own soap, toilet paper and paper towels to the bathrooms because they provide toilet paper but it may disappear fast. The beach area is not close enough to the site to walk but ample shaded parking is available once you drive down to the area. Our camping area was sparsely occupied so we enjoyed having the space to ourselves. There is not electricity or water on the site but potable water is close. There are small trash cans at the bath house. When you leave you take your large trash bags out with you. You can deposit trash as you exit the check point in dumpsters provided on the right side of the road.
