i hate to have to give this a low rating, but its deserved. this park has an absolutely MASSIVE ant problem. both rvs here were absolutely infested with them. i was staying on the right hand loop. tight roads, unlevel spaces. the camp host was really great, and very friendly. there is only one small sign regarding ants at the office. those in charge have apparently been notified multiple times, yet do nothing about the ants.

We put Comet and insect spray around all our tires leveling jacks and electric cord. Thousands of tiny ants came into our class A RV and my wife has over 100 bites on her upper thighs and abdomen that itch. We reported the ant problem to the campground enter station and were told some treatment would be applied at our campsite 55 but never was. We hurried home and are fuming the entire RV. A camper in site 52 also had an ant problem. This turns what should be a great experience into an expensive disaster. We will never be able to camp at Iron Mountain again.

Beautiful setting, well away from traffic and noise. The campground was tight to navigate with our long fifth wheel, but not much of an issue as there was only one other camper there. The staff was friendly and helpful. Restrooms were clean and well stocked.

We were initially reserved for site 51 that was supposed to have a 55 foot drive way. We arrived to large rocks across the drive way we had to remove and then it was soft gravel and we sunk into the dirt over our anderson levelers and up the tires a few inches. We moved to 55 which was so sloped and elevated we needed an additional step to get into our rv. The ranger showed up to give a ticket to our neighbors as their site was also not as advertised and did not have room for their truck. No warning but a ticket. The park hard a total of 4 in this loop. And there was no reservation for this site. The ranger came through and stopped to tell us checknout was at 1pm at 12:30 and then 15 min later the camp host did the same thing. They were doing a controlled burn without notice. Any one with breathing issues would be impacted. If you stay in sites 1-31 much better. Actually level and trees are not in a way to damage. The others are the worst we have seen in over 40 coes we have stayed in. Get water before you go the water fill is too close to the very tight dump station. They use the same photo for every site my guess is laziness and they wouldn't want you to know how terrible the condition really is. Would not recommend. Ranger needs some training on how to interact with people. And the park needs some serious work done to the loop we were in. I guess they have forgotten the promise to the American People that they could buy and control water and allow us safe use for a few to this land.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
