Once again we had THE BEST time at Iron Mountain! Relaxing and peaceful!

Beautiful area and views of the lake. Tent area was great for tents or hammocks.

After making a reservation in advance, the weather turned and we were forced to postpone our camp. Yet the website does not allow modification/cancel during stay. Tried to return a few days later to finish our camp. Where we were met with the rudest park ranger I've ever met, who rather than help make our visit pleasant, was extremely rude and abrasive, and made me vow never to return to this camp ground. Iron Mountain was in a terrible state of maintenance and cleanliness, and disrepair. The campsites were overgrown and crumbling. The bathrooms dirty and filthy. The website is designed poorly and is not very accommodating. I am quite disappointed in my stay at Iron Mountain overall, and I hope this review helps others in planning their next camping trip.

campsite was great. There is no water at each site instead shared water spigots throughout the campsite.

Awesome spot with short trail access to the lake for swimming or kayaking. The only bad thing, we were in a tent and there was a fishing tournament at 6 am on a Saturday. Bass boats can be very loud.
